That brings us to end of our coverage for this game. Till the next time, this is myself (Arya Sekhar Chakraborty) signing off also on behalf of my fellow mate Rajarshi Das.
New York Warriors won by 6 runs
Richard Levi 66(25) | Umaid Asif 3/12(2) Obus Pienaar 35(12) | Obus Pienaar 1/18(2)
The knock of Richard Levi proved to be enough in the end as the New York Warriors won the 3rd game of the tournament by 6 runs to start off the campaign on a winning note. Chris Gayle and Parthiv Patel struggled in the initial stages of the innings and couldn't quite get going in the first two overs.
Gayle and Parthiv Patel was dismissed cheaply. Corey Anderson struck a couple of big blows to get going before his departure. Onus Pienaar's breathtaking knock kept the Unity in the game as they eventually managed to get close to the victory target.
He smashed 4 fours and 3 sixes which just about kept them in the game but some good bowling by Sohail Khan and Jerome Taylore eventually helped them win the game by 6 runs. Shehan Jayasuriya took the game to the last ball, smashing 10 ball 28 but in the end it was Shahid Afridi who held his nerves and bowled a fantastic final delivery.
It turned out to be a cliffhanger in the end but New York Warriors just about managed to hold their nerves and win it by a whisker.

9.6 Shahid Afridi to Shehan Jayasuriya, Afridi fires the yorker in to win the game! He keeps it just outside off, Jayasuriya couldn't even get bat on it, and Akmal did just about enough to make a half-stop! The New York Warriors prevail by 6 runs!
Goodness oh me just 6 runs required to get this game to a super over.
9.5 Shahid Afridi to Shehan Jayasuriya, SIX! Now then! They need one more of those to tie the game! This was pitched up on off stump, dished in the slot, in fact. Jayasuriya got down on one knee, and slogged the ball well over the stands at long on! Does he have it in him to clear the boundary one more time?
9.4 Shahid Afridi to Shehan Jayasuriya, FOUR! Fired in on the pads, Jayasuriya was hurried, he went through with the flick, and found the gap at deep square!
9.3 Shahid Afridi to Shehan Jayasuriya, SIX! Full, fired in on a full length on off stump, Jayasuriya moved across and clubbed this one over Taylor at long on for a maximum!
9.2 Shahid Afridi to Calvin Savage, full on off stump, Savage could only pump it down to long off for a run
