Sophie Devine, New Zealand captain: I think it was a complete performance. We kept building partnerships throughout, Melie Kerr and Satterthwaite were batting beautifully. The bowling was great, they didn't give anything to the Indian batters. With our attack, we have a lot of diversity and alternatives, which helps us to be more flexible. We won the last game, but it wasn't easy. Today's performance was more complete, and we aim to carry it over to the next game.
Mithali Raj, India captain: I thought they got a solid partnership going after losing those early wickets, and it seemed like 280 was in the cards. But, in the end, we did a good job of pulling things back. It was a gettable total if the top order could keep the run rate under control. We did not have anyone who could take us over the line. Under the lights, there was a lot of extra bounce; it wasn't unplayable, but we could have done better. The batting order needs to improve. The bowlers performed admirably tonight, as they did in the previous game. Batting needs to improve.
Amy Satterthwaite (Player of the Match for her knock of 75): It was an interesting one. It was certainly a pitch where the batters really struggled but the plan was to take it deep, set up a bit of a platform and then go big. We couldn't quite do it but thankfully it was enough. I was really disappointed with how I played in the first game. I just wasn't positive enough and brave enough and just let them into the game. So I had to look back at how I was playing and I wanted to play the way I wanted to irrespective of how it would turn out. My timing was good in patches for long enough to get us the total we needed but I thought our bowlers were outstanding in the first 20 odd overs. We've talked about our starts and couldn't have asked for anything better.
India- 198 all out in 46.4 overs ( Harmanpreet Kaur 71 off 63 balls. Lea Tahuhu 3 for 17 in 10 overs, Amelia Kerr 3 for 56 in 9 overs.) lose by 62 runs.
Terrific performance from the White Ferns! They have outplayed India in all departments of the game. After losing the toss and being put to bat first, they did exceedingly well to get to a score of 260 first up.
Chasing 261, India were always going to start as the underdogs against New Zealand at Seddon Park. However, the chase never took off at any point for India. The White Ferns were on the top from the very first ball. They kept things tight from the beginning and built some pressure on the Indian openers. Mandhana succumbed to the dot-ball pressure and Deepti departed early too. India had a forgettable powerplay.
Yastika showed some intent but eventually fell to Tahuhu's trap. Mithali and Harmanpreet looked to consolidate before Melie Kerr got rid of the Indian skipper. Wickets started to fall like a pack of cards and Harmanpreet was falling short of partners. Once she got to her fifty, she took off and gave the fans something to cheer about before eventually falling to Melie Kerr's trap.
New Zealand will be overjoyed with their bowling performance. Tahuhu and Kerr bagged three scalps each while Jensen wiped off the tail. Rowe was decent while Mackay did well to build pressure on Indian batters with her tight lines.

Back of a length delivery in the channel outside off, Gayakwad hangs her bat out to dry from her crease but a faint tickle is what she manages as she looks to run it down very late. Safely nestles into the gloves of Martin and that'll be all. As comprehensive a victory as it can get for the hosts - The White Ferns beat India by 62 runs!
