What a performance this has been from Overseas CC. They had no business winning this game, let alone thrashing a top side like Swieqi United by such a big margin. Their bowlers set up the match by making the new ball swirl and killing the first innings early.
The intent that Swieqi lacked in the first innings, was what they also missed in the second. As soon as they came out, instead of trying to attack, the fielders were out spread and singles were easily on offer, despite the minute total on the board. They just didn't look like they wanted to try.
Overseas lacked power hitters but they used the negative fielding to pick up singles and doubles and picked the gaps for the occasional boundary. Umar Khan looked spirited at the end and picked up two wickets but by then it was a bit too late.
7.3 Vidhu Krishnan to Senthil Raj, THAT'S IT! Overseas cause one of the remarkable upset in the tournament, have stunned the Swieqi United to take the revenge from a thrashing they took in the last game. Back of a length, wide of off-stump as Raj reaches and taps it to covers to seal the deal with a single.
7.2 Vidhu Krishnan to Jaz Cable, full outside the off-stump, Cable leans and watchfully pushes it to wide mid-off and picks up a single. Scores are level now!
7.1 Vidhu Krishnan to Jaz Cable, FOUR! Wheels are coming off now for Swieqi United. Full toss on the pads, Cable puts this one away as he whacked it through mid-wicket, races away and finds the ropes. Just 2 needed now!
The fielders are still spread out...
