This is a new pitch. Not been used before in the tournament. The side boundary is 54 metre. Down wide mid on is no more than 60. 67 68 towards the square and 80 metre down the ground. The pitch is very dry and I will be astonished if it doesn't spin. The pacers will use the cutters a lot. The Paarl Royals have become very comfortable. The bulk of the crowd has gathered under the trees. All in all the surface looks fabulous but it is bound to turn. 160 could be a winning score..

David Miller (captain, Paarl Royals): Very satisfied getting the win ahead of our fans. The guys do not line playing on this surface. I was asking the stats guy to check how many times this has happened. We had Galiem as our back option as well. At this time, it is all about doing the boring stuff well. Every now and against you'll face challenges but you will have to stand up. It is about sticking to the process and continuing the same. It has been a grilling week, we play on Monday and then have three days off. The guys will rest up and come back on Monday. It is more just on the mental side and looking after the bowling

Rilee Rossouw (captain, Pretoria Capitals): We were very confident when bowling first. Our thought was that 140 was going to be tough to chase but we had the guys to do it. Everyone is not going to have a great day, if we are good at executing our plans then we will do well. He (Jacks) batted well, throughout the innings and we had a chance. It sits up very nicely in the Highveld and well have to put on a very good performance

Joe Root is the Player of the Match: Yeah it was pretty trying. It was about reading the surface and figure out roughly what a good score is. Was brave enough to take it deeper. Felt like we had enough runs at the halfway stage and the bowlers did a great job. Tried to use the lack of bounce as a bowler. I didn't think that will spin as much as it did. To get to that score felt like a good effort. That was a brilliant innings from Jacks and they were close to matching us. Certainly there might be some spin in India.

It was a trial by spin for Pretoria Capitals and they have looked all over the place looking to chase it down. This was a brave bowling effort from the Paarl Royals, who bowled 20 overs of spin and had the game firmly in their grasp. Good job in the chase from the Capitals have a crack but unfortunately, they have another loss to their name.

Pretoria Capitals had a poor start, losing three wickets inside the powerplay. Throughout the middle overs, Will Jacks and Kyle Verreynne managed to get some runs under their belt and played a few shots but with the required run rate soaring, it got difficult over by over, with Verreynne losing his wicket. Jacks took the chase till the end, braving against all odds, but couldn't do much as he lacked some batting support in the end.

20 overs of spin managed the Paarl Royals to register their sixth win of the tournament. Bjorn Fortuin picked up two early in the chase with Dunith Wellalage also chipping in with a wicket. Towards the end, it was Mujeeb Ur Rehman and Joe Root as they picked up two wickets and managed to keep a tight leash on the flow of runs. Nqabayomzi Peter played his second game of the season and while he didn't get a wicket, he will be happy to have kept the batters quiet when he was bowling.
