That is it from this match, folks! This is the pair of Sourabh and Rajarshi signing off, keep following Sportskeeda
Fighters CC win by 8 wickets with 18 balls remaining
Muhammad Bilal 45*(16) | Mandeep Singh - 1/2 (2) Muhammad Asaduzzaman 46(24) | Mirza Noman - 1/30 (2)
An absolute cruise to the finish line for the Fighters CC who take away all the points on offer from this contest giving none to the Rangers CC who continue the search for their first win in the competition.
104 was never going to be enough for the Rangers unless they put on a spectacular effort on the field but unfortunately for them it turned to be a pretty sloppy one. The innings started with a six off the first ball by Parminder who was then castled by a beauty from Noman to make things interesting. But that was about that as far as the Rangers were concerned.
Muhammad Bilal joined hands with Harjot Sahota and the duo dismissed any chances of a wobble with the bat as they started smoking the bowlers to all parts. Some ordinary bowling and fielding helped their cause too as the duo put on 89 runs in 6 overs together before Sahota was run out.
The job was done by the time and Bilal applied the finishing touches and got the winning runs and also got himself a nice little asterisk besides his name in the scorecard.
