End of the match!
Msida Warriors beat Red Stars by 43 runs.
Ajin Soman 31 (20) | Shijil Joy (3/9) Tony Thomas 16 (13) | Ajmal Ali (3/18)
That should be a very, very pleasing win for the Warriors. They didn't have a really good score and it looked like the second innings would at the very most be a tight chase. Hardly anyone would have expected it to be this one-sided.
But the bowling side did everything right. They hit the right, full lengths early on, extracted good swing and made sure they gave no freebies away, despite a few wides. RDS lost three overs in the powerplay and just never recovered from that.
Their best batter, Thomas was stranded at one end when the middle-order crumbled trying to counter-attack. Warriors caught well and just didn't let Stars off the hook. In the end, they took a really important win home at a really good time in the tournament.
