Match Summary
Malta beat Romania by 19 runs.
Basil George - 54 (16)Abdul Asif - 39 (13) Ijaz Hussain - 4/17 (2)Waseem Abbas - 3/9 (2)
Well, Romania is heading back home, and off we see them in 2024 now. A very good fight from their side in this one but it all went down in vain as Malta was firing with the white ball at them. A very good piece of bowling from them as they managed to get the first 3 wickets in a flash and did not let a single partnership flourish out there. It was Abdul Asif, who managed to get some hopes up for the bowling side but sadly it did not flourish well for them. The batters kept losing the wickets in some sloppy fashion as all the lofted shots were ending up in the hands of the fielders and the wickets coming in full swing from the bowling side decimated the batting line up. Romania gave a good fight in the midst of even the troublesome situations, but it was not enough against a strong force like Malta who advance into the semi finals.
