Well,That was all the actions coming your way today from this game folks! Thanks for sticking with us! Signing off, your commentators for today, Bidipto Datta and Tasmai Krishnan, Have a delightful day ahead!
After 2 hours of hard fought cricket, Portugal clinch the game, as they deserved to!
After a phenomenal batting display from Francoise Stoman and Aamer Ikram, who contributed 42 of 15 balls and 28 of 10 deliveries respectively, Portugal were powered to a seemingly par total on this unevenly bouncy surface.
For Romania, the chinaman bowler, Dilum Fernando was exceptional with the ball, proving his worth as a spinner in this format, that doesn't pay any heed to the bowling style. He used the googly to good advantage and kept the batters guessing at all times and forced them to play across the line, due to his heavily off side dominant field.
As far as the Romanian batters are concerned, yes it was a poor display of batting, but there were definitely few positives to take away from this game to the dugout.
With the opening pair, Taranjeet Singh and Muhammad Moiz not disturbing the scorers, it made it all the more harder on the middle order, out of whom 1 man stood up to the cause- Rickie Gill, who played a sumptuous 44 of 18 balls, begging the question to be asked, on whether he should bat at 3 for Romania.
What is Gaurav Mishra doing at number 9? For the innings he played today, 30 off just 10 balls, I'm sure the team management is thinking of an upgrade for him. Opening the bowling for Portugal, Shayaddur Rahman and then later, Abdus Samad were terrific with the ball!
Overall a very good game of cricket, which was characterized by many ups and downs- but victory was eventually handed to the better side today, which was Portugal.

9.5 Najam Shahzad to Gaurav Mishra, SIX MORE! Good length ball on off-stump. Mishra walked down the wicket and clubbed it over wide long-on for a maximum!
9.4 Najam Shahzad to Gaurav Mishra, FOUR RUNS! Good length ball outside off-stump. Carved over short third man off the back foot for a crafty boundary!
9.3 Najam Shahzad to Gaurav Mishra, SIX RUNS! Full on off-and-middle. Mishra stepped out and bludgeoned it over deep mid-wicket for a maximum!
9.2 Najam Shahzad to Luca Petre, full on off-stump. Driven down to long-on from the front foot for a single.
9.1 Najam Shahzad to Luca Petre, short around off-stump. A play and a miss on the back foot through the line, no run.
Lat over of the game! Sharn Gomes finishes his spell and credit to Gaurav Mishra for seeing the bowler's tactics of extra loop and flight, and he stepped out and made the most out of the last delivery. Can Najam Shahzad restrict Romania under 100?
