So, that brings an end to the coverage of this fixture from myself, Karthik Raj and my co-commentator, Bala. Do stay tuned to Sportskeeda and switch to the coverage of the crucial ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifier clash between the West Indies and Scotland or the second Ashes Test. There is also plenty of other cricket lined up in the form of the ECI Romania, TNPL, and the first Women's T20I between England and Australia. Until next time, it is a warm good-bye!
MATCH OVER!
Romania won by 30 runs!
Romania 127/5 (10) Slovenia 97/7 (10)
Rasheed Mamadkhel 30 (17) | Izaz Ali 23 (13)
Rajith Perera 2-0-12-4 | Joshak Khadka 2-0-27-2
A comfortable 30-run win for Romania in the end even though Slovenia gave their best at chasing down 128! Just like Romania, Slovenia also had a poor start as Ramanjot Singh got out in the very first over. The duo of Izaz Ali and Rasheed Mamadkhel capitalized on the Powerplay overs after that as the Romanian bowlers were put under a bit of pressure.
However, Izaz Ali was sent back by Manmeet Koli in the fourth over after which Romania continued to strike at regular intervals. The pair of Tarun Sharma and Omkarnath Thunduru got out in consecutive balls as Slovenia were reduced to 62-4 off 5.4 balls. Rasheed still didn't give up as he went big on a few occasions before Joshak Khadka castled him to get a massive breakthrough. In the end, Rajith Perera got a couple of scalps as he finished with four wickets to cap off a remarkable spell.
