Jayakumar met his standards with the bat but the same cannot be said with the ball as he conceded 35 runs in just 8 deliveries. His bowling spell coupled with the fielding lapses ensured another defeat for the Falcons. It was a dream start for the Eagles as the Chauhan duo went after the bowlers inside the powerplay. Sumit was the aggressor in the partnership as he got himself into a rampage mode, smashing 45 runs off 14 deliveries.

The Falcons broke the opening stand and pulled things back with three tight overs but Jayakumar's reintroduction in the penultimate over didn't help the team's cause. Emad scored a boundary and massive six to seal things in style for the Eagles
