Wow!!! This is a historic knock in the history of ECS cricket and Ashrith Darapureddy has made it look ridiculously easy in the final over. Sixes after sixes and in the end, UCB won the match by 6 wickets and with a delivery to spare. Darapureddy was quite incredible and the way he executed the shots one after the other under immense pressure was a sight to behold.
They needed to get off to a great start if they had to harbor hopes of getting close to the target. Darapureddy and Vinoth Ravindran shared a 110 run stand between them for the opening wicket which laid the platform for a fascinating finish. However, the Royal Tigers bowlers held their nerves and the triple wicket maiden from Zeeshan Kukikhel turned the match on it's head.
36 needed off the final over, it came down to 31 due to 5 penalty runs and in the end Darapureddy looked like a man possessed as he kept smashing sixes after sixes to take his team to a memorable victory.
