A commanding victory for the Divers and they finally taste success in this tournament. They were under huge pressure heading into the encounter against one of the in-form teams in the tournament but they lived up to the expectations in all departments of the game and came out on top.
Walton was the star with the bat as his destructive knock set the tone for the Divers to post a mammoth total on the board. Still, the bowlers are tasked with defending the total and they produced a much-improved display against a solid batting lineup.
It required a big knock from one of the top-order batters to get close to the target but the Breakers didn't get a good start while chasing a big score. Richie Richards did the damage up front to put the team in the drivers seat. Johnson's fireworks gave them a glimmer of hope but once he got dismissed, things became easy-peasy for the Divers to cross the finish line
