The Qalandars have ended up with just 92 runs from their 10 overs and they have fallen short by 46 runs here! Their chase got off to a really poor start as they lost a wicket of the very first ball! Buddhika Mahesh didn't let them get away in the powerplay and one feels that they lost the game there itself. They looked to accelerate in the middle overs as Patel and Khaiid chipped in with some cameos but they never got the big overs and the gap between the two sides kept widening as the innings progressed.
The Lions were excellent with the ball and executed their plans really well. Buddhika Mahesh was the star of the show for them as he bowled an incredible spell earlier on in the innings and almost sealed the game for them in the powerplay itself. Chamal Sadun once again chipped in with the ball and bowled economically in his two overs. Towards the end, it became a bridge too far for the Qalandars and Roshan Siriwardana finished things off with a couple of wickets in the final over.
