As was expected, Swieqi United beat Victoria Lions by a massive margin today. They were, by far, the better side today and this showed in their approach towards the game and their opponents. The Lions were shown a false dawn when they carted 11 runs off the first over of this innings bowled by Waqar Afridi. This gave them a big boost and the confidence that they could chase this stif total down. However, this was not to be, and the other bowlers of United ensured that the target was not breached by any significant margin. The likes of Arslan Ahmed and Muhammad Ajmal bowled extremely well, and were assisted by the likes of Umar Khan and Qasim Muhammad. The Lions will take a lot of learnings from the couple of encounters that they had with United today, and hope to come back a better and more competitive side.
