James Vince (Player of the Match, 101* off 58 balls): I've got a few nineties, so it's great to both get to three figures and this win! The build-up was nice, through the innings. Historically, this ground has seen high scores. They got into a position of scoring over 220, so we knew that the conditions were great for batting.

What a win for the Sydney Sixers. They have won the game quite comprehensively and will be carrying this momentum further into the tournament. For the Stars, this is another loss for them and now they will need some changes soon else they could be staring down the barrel and have no chances of making a comeback in this season.

James Vince and Josh Philippe opened the innings as usual. The pair put on a solid partnership before Philippe was dismissed. Soon after, Moises Henriques was dismissed cheaply and since then, Vince didn't look back. After getting to his 50, Vince unleashed himself and went all out against the Stars bowling attack, accelrating at a superb rate and getting a 100. In the end, Silk ended the game with a boundary, leading them to win.

For the Stars, their poor run of form continues as they lose their fourth game on the bounce. Usama Mir and Tom Curran were the only wicket takers but they too were very expensive in the outing. Glenn Maxwell, Doug Warren and Marcus Stoinis were also expensive with the ball in hand, with only Peter Siddle being the only bowler to have managed a good economy rate.
