So, that will be all from the WBBL for today. But make sure to catch us again tomorrow for another double-header! This is the pair of Mohul and Bidipto taking your leave. Keep following Sportskeeda!
Chloe Tryon is the Player of the Match: The conditions were a little bit tough. Unfortunately, we got out at the wrong moment but I felt really good to get these runs under my belt. We had to wipe every ball as there was a lot of dew around. We knew that they would come hard at us and that we had to keep the ball on the stumps on most occasions. Putting our bodies on the line is very important and the result came because of our commitment.
Sydney Sixers Women win by 57 runs with 20 balls to spare!
Chloe Tryon 40 (28) | Linsey Smith - 2/8 (3) Naomi Stalenberg 36 (22) | Heather Graham - 3/36 (4)
Conditions were good to bat on as the dew fell in plenty at the North Sydney Oval. All the Hobart Hurricanes Women needed was a strong start first up. That did not happen. They needed their captain Elyse Villani to fire again. That too did not happen. And as a result, lost the match well within 20 overs with an injury scare to their strike bowler Shabnim Ismail!
Lizelle Lee and Bryony Smith's poor run with the bat continued as they could not get going at all. Sixers Women made sure to put the squeeze on and keep the ball as dry as possible. They kept picking up wickets at regular intervals even with spin!
Catching did suffer due to the slippery conditions but Linsey Smith's catch at point and Suzie Bates' catch at long-on were just spectacular! Even Lauren Cheatle's left-handed catch of her own bowling was a good one.
On the whole, it has been a stupendous bowling performance from the entire attack and the fielding has backed it up quite superbly! With this win, Sixers Women move to 8 points from 9 games.
Hurricanes Women did not take a chance with Ismail tonight as she did not come out to bat. But the little finger of her right hand needs to heal quickly for her team to get back on track. They are on 7 points from 8 matches.
So that is that! Shabnim Ismail is injured and won't come out to bat. Hobart Hurricanes Women are all out therefore.

16.4 Ashleigh Gardner to Amy Smith, GONE! It is all over. Shabnim Ismail is not coming out to bat, so the Hurricanes are all out! Tossed up at a length outside off, turns back in. Smith tries to heave it away to the on side but gets a top edge. The fielder at midwicket settles herself under it and manages to take the catch quite comfortably! SYDNEY SIXERS WIN THIS GAME!
Amy Smith c Kate Peterson b Ashleigh Gardner 7 (7b, 1x4, 0x6)
16.3 Ashleigh Gardner to Maisy Gibson, floated on off and middle, turns away. Gibson works it away to long on and crosses over.
Shabnim Ismail is not going to bat due to the injury she copped while bowling.
16.2 Ashleigh Gardner to Amy Smith, fired in on middle and leg. Smith gets an inside edge to short fine leg for a single.
16.1 Ashleigh Gardner to Amy Smith, FOUR! TOP SHOT! Tossed up outside off, turns back in a tad. Smith leans in and heaves it away wide of the fielder at long on for a boundary!
