SV Kampong - 125/5 in 10 overs (Sherry Butt 76 off 25 balls, Ali Qasim 2/15 in 2 overs) beat Voorburg - 88/8 in 10 overs (Rehan Waheed 20 off 14 balls, Ajmal Arghandiwal 2/2 in 1 over) by 37 runs.
Voorburg were just not good enough with the bat, as they lacked the intensity and the firepower required to chase down a big total. In absence of Bas de Leede and Musa Ahmad from the batting line-up, the VCC batting was exposed badly. There were a few experiments made, but still, the batting needs a big look-in heading into the play-offs.
The bowling overall from SV Kampong was good, with wickets for every bowler on show. This will hold them in good stead for the play-offs. They have moved into second place and will play the same opponents in the second match of the day tomorrow.
So after the group stage, we have our four play-off teams.
