Only one meter difference in the square boundaries today, down the ground above 70 meters. We've always had the factor of a strong wind coming from the east of the ground in the Caribbean, so the teams will be trying to make sure they use that when bowling and batters hitting towards the wind. Antigua has been quite privileged to have some ODI cricket in the recent past - 3 in 2021, 2 in the last year when these two teams met - all five have been won by the chasing team. Day night game, this has been a good batting surface in the recent past. Bowling first helps in restricting the team in the first innings, then you can chase it. The surface looks very well prepared. The grass is cut very low, and it looks rolled in nicely. The aesthetics are very pleasing, feels relatively hard enough. If it plays as it looks, the average batting score might be above 260, reports Nikhil Uttamchandani and Ian Bishop.

Shai Hope the winning captain was satisfied with the team's performance: The opening bowlers had set the tone and they strived for early wickets. I am happy with what they did today. We were consistent with their lines and lengths in this game and would want to be consistent going forward as well. Evin Lewis has been around for some time and he is hungry to get those runs and it was great to see him.

Liam Livingstone, England captain shares his thoughts over this comprehensive loss against England: That's the test that we've got to come over the next couple of games. It's the rhythm of 50-over cricket - trying to get up to speed and picking up that rhythm as quickly as possible. We know someone from our top six needs to go on and get a big score, but we didn't get that today. Fifty overs is a long time. We wanted to try and put the West Indies under as much pressure as we can.

Gudakesh Motie is the Player of the Match, here is what he had to say: Well the conditions were different in Sri Lanka. The spin is less out here but you have to get accustomed quickly. I wasn't getting much turn so wanted to hit the straight line and the lengths. Well because runs weren't coming easily at the other end, it helped me. We had a training day yesterday, I tried to access which pace to bowl at and figured out bowling fast on this pitch isn't the greatest of options so I bowled slower today.

West Indies go 1-nil up in the three-match ODI series against England who were overpowered in all departments of the game--got all out for 209, lacked conviction in bowling (barring powerplay) and had no answers to Evin Lewis's firepower.

After losing four wickets with 100 runs on the board, England were under pressure from the hosts. New ODI captain Liam Livingstone and Sam Curran had the responsibility to set a contestable target. They successfully moved in that direction and added 72 runs for the fifth wicket. But just when Livingstone had put his foot on the accelerator, he was soft-caught and bowled by left-arm tweaker Gudakesh Motie.

The responsibility then fell on Sam Curran along with inexperienced batters and the tail. Curran and debutant Dan Mousley added 14 runs before the latter lost his wicket. The next four batters perished, adding just 30 runs to the board. Gudakesh Motie spun the web and turned bad to worse for England.

The rain interrupted the start of the second innings for over an hour. Once the game resumed, in the powerplay, West Indies batters respected the hard lengths but punished the oddballs by Jofra Archer and debutant John Turner. After the end of the powerplay, Adil Rashid was introduced into the attack, and Evin Lewis wreaked havoc, smashing as many as eight in his entire innings.

The rain caused a delay for the second time in the game after the 15th over and the target was revised to 157 runs. Although, Lewis did not lose any momentum due to the interruption and blasted shots left, right and centre he got out just six runs short of his second consecutive 100.

The other Windies opener, Brandon King lacked confidence and in two minds throughout his innings. He had been lucky quite a few times--a thick edge and some reviews falling in his favour. He has some work to do before the next game.
