A historic win for Zimbabwe and they sure have left their fans pleased with glee. It's been quite a story all series and this ought to bode extremely well for them ahead of the T20 World Cup this year and of course, the series against India coming up soon. There's another game left in the series and Bangladesh will be itching to salvage some pride. The Tigers have been wounded in a format they pride themselves in but they must not bow down and ought to look to storm back and avoid a whitewash.

Regis Chakabva (Zimbabwe Captain): (On his hundred) Better late than never. It is massive. We've been playing some good cricket recently and we knew that Bangladesh coming is really good competition. To come out with a series win now is just a really nice feeling. We've been trying to play really positive. When I went out to bat the coach just said to me to take it deep and if I get anyone to target, to be nice and positive. That's what I was trying to do. (On a possible whitewash) We have to come and try and play some good cricket again. Always looking to win.

Tamim Iqbal (Bangladesh Captain): I think the difference is the four hundreds for them (this series), zero for us. We did put up a decent total...we got a very good start but nobody continued. We had the opportunity to score 20 more runs in the first game. Today Mahmudullah batted really well after the collapse. I thought the wicket was good from the beginning. When the spinners came on and tried to change the pace it wasn't as easy as the first game. Credit must go to Zimbabwe. We have to pull up our socks. Till now we haven't played our best cricket and that's why we're in this position.

Sikandar Raza is the Player of the Match for his spell of 3/56 and an unbeaten 117. Here's what he has to say: Since Davy (Houghton) has come back we've put a lot of emphasis and effort. To be part of this journey it's very humbling. I'm out of words - I know I'm grabbing the trophy but the way Regis and Tony batted was superb as well. It's not just me, it's all of us and to be a part of this journey is just humbling. It's good in a way that I'm doing my job and I'm being out there for my team. To have a hundred from me, Regis and (the performance of) Luke Jongwe the other day was really pleasing. The journey towards the World Cup and the games we're getting and winning is the concept we want to leave in the team. We seniors want to leave a winning dressing room by the time we're done playing.

Iconic scenes at Harare! The crowd have had their money's worth and it's been a Sunday worth remembering for a lifetime. Zimbabwe have clinched their first ODI series win over Bangladesh since 2013. And it's been a chase to remember yet again!

290 seemed a lot better than it would have appeared owing to the fact that the pitch was in use for the second time in three days. And the start the visitors received would have surely egged them on. Hasan Mahmud bowled with fire in the Powerplay, hitting the perfect length while getting it to move in the air and off the pitch. He snuffed out both Takudzwanashe Kaitano and Innocent Kaia in similar fashion as they nicked behind to leave the hosts in a spot of bother.

Tadiwanashe Marumani took his time after deploying a couple of sweeps - both conventional and the reverse. He was looking good but the asking rate caught up with the hosts as a couple more wickets fell, leaving them in dire straits.

That's when Regis Chakabva launched a counter-attack, allowing Sikandar Raza, the hero of the last game, to bide his time. The latter too, would switch gears as a solid partnership took centerstage, restoring a semblance of assurance.

And then came the moment - Raza was short of his crease, only for Mehidy Hasan to dislodge the bails off his left hand with the ball in the other. That gave the veteran a lifeline that he grabbed with both hands and there was simply no looking back thereon. Both Raza and Chakabva calculated the chase brilliantly and raced along to their respective tons. It was a partnership for the ages - the best for any wicket for Zimbabwe - and the manner in which they went about their work left the visitors hapless and clueless.

The pressure clearly told on them too as they messed up on the field with a number of mishaps. So much so, that Chakabva's wicket was all but a bonus with debutant Tony Munyonga clobbering the ball around the park to seal the deal for his side after a slowish beginning. With the experienced Raza at the other end, the debutant left a lasting impression on this contest himself. Stick around for the presentations...

Full on middle and leg and he sits on one knee to deploy and aerial sweep behind square to pick all the vacant real estate at his disposal to pick out the fence. What a debut to remember and look at Sikandar Raza let out a huge roar. He's on his knees as he looks up to the heavens! Zimbabwe beat Bangladesh by 5 wickets and take the series 2-0 with a game to spare!
