That's it from the enthralling encounter, folks! It will be hard for Zimbabwe to hit the restart button while Scotland just need to keep their nerves and tickets to India will be theirs. Hope you enjoyed our coverage. This is the duo of Rudransh and Mohul signing off!

Craig Ervine [Zimbabwe captain]: Certainly, we thought we did well to restrict them to 230. The first spell from Sole put us on the back foot. We played some extremely good cricket in this tournament but fell short today. [On Leask] Uptil that point, we had done really well to restrict them but he took him from a potential 210 score to over 230 and we fell short. Everybody's really gutted. It would have been nice to put 2018 demons to bed and this is another moment we'll have to live for a long time. We still have a lot of positives, like Sean Williams. We are really thankful to the crowd for coming out and supporting us. Cricket has really changed in Zimbabwe in the last 2 years that's because of the kind of cricket we have played. We really appreciate the crowd.

Richie Berrington [Scotland captain]: Incredible play from the lads today. It was our best performance. Getting those early wickets was absolutely key. Our bowlers have been fantastic all throughout the tournament. Really pleased for Chris Sole to get Man of the Match today, he has bowled a couple of good spells for us and got the reward today. Look, we knew it would come to a stage where we'll face must-win games. Now we need to recover quickly and come strong against the Netherlands. The guys have been playing a lot of good cricket and we can take confidence. It will be another great occasion and another good test. The support from back home has been fantastic and this is also a really close group. We are looking forward to Thursday.

Chris Sole, Player of the Match: I was always given the advice to bowl as fast as I can, and luckily, things went in the right direction today. We are not looking that far ahead (to India) but to beat Zimbabwe in their own backyard is really nice. We had a good game today; I am pleased with the way things unfolded.

Oh, what a match! The pendulum swung again and again and again till it finally went Scott! Having been put into bat, Scotland would have felt they didn't get the par score but their bowling bowled like their lives depended on it. Chris Sole got Gumbie out first ball with a beautiful riser and set things up. McMullen didn't start too well and gave away a couple of boundaries in his first over but Sole picked two more from his end.

He cracked serious pace, over 150 kph at one time, and beat both Craig Ervine and Sean Williams with pace. The delivery to get Williams out was a hall-of-famer as far as this tournament goes. Scotland kept it tight in the field too. McMullen slowly got his length back and almost got Raza but the catch went down in the field. It didn't cost much as he trapped Kaia, who was chipping in singles well with Williams, out trapped in front.

Raza and Burl built a nice partnership. Berrington took out Sole perhaps too early and they took advantage of Sharif's struggle to get his lengths right. The right-arm seamer tried too much and leaked boundaries. Matt Watt with his notes was ineffective initially too. That's when Greaves came in and got the breakthrough by setting up Raza to hit one against the longest boundary.

The game looked down but Madhevere came out and played out a run-a-ball blinder, finding gaps for fun. With pressure eased off him, Burl also got into his groove. Berrington brought Sole back to get the wicket but Madhevere hit him for two boundaries as well.

Watt was brought back when the pressure was at its peak and he bowled a beauty to clean up Madhevere against the run of play. He was having a poor match but got the wicket at the best possible moment. It was a matter of patience after that as Scotland had made inroads into Zimbabwe's tail. The crowd had kept the music on but slowly became quieter as the match progressed.

McMullen got Masakadza, signaling to Burl that it was time to go all-out. He got away with a couple against Leask but holed out the third, ending a valiant knock, his best in ODIs. Leask then played the patience game well and got Ngarava before Sharif redeemed himself by cleaning up Chatara.

Zimbabwe have been knocked out of the ICC Qualifiers because of their negative NRR! The host fans, brilliant as they have been, have been treated with a disappointing performance. So much promise of a sleeping giant rising again but it would be Scotland or Netherlands who'll join Sri Lanka! Forget pins, drop a hair strand here and you'll hear it. They are in despair. Scotland are delighted and do their handshakes and fistpumps with smiles.

41.1 Safyaan Sharif to Tendai Chatara, BOWLED HIM! SCOTLAND WIN THIS GAME! At a length on off and middle, comes back in after pitching. Chatara tries to defend it but gets beaten to see the ball crash onto his stumps. The ball manages to dislodge his bails, and in turn, dislodge Zimbabwe from this competition as well. They have been knocked out of the race to qualify for the ICC Cricket World Cup in India later this year owing to a negative net run rate. It comes down to either Scotland or the Netherlands to become the second qualifier after Sri Lanka!
