FULL TIME 40' Bengal Warriorz 30-33 Dabang Delhi KC

Dabang Delhi hold their nerves and break their losing streak!
It was a do-or-die raid for Ashu Malik in the last minute and a sloppy point conceded by Mayur Kadam sealed the game for the team from the capital city.

It was a team effort from the Dabang Delhi. Once again, Ashu Malik led the way with a Super-10, 7th in 8 matches this season, but he got some much-needed support tonight with 8 raid points from Vinay and 4 from Ashish.

Their defense too contributed with 7 tackle points and what helped them even more was the lack of penetration from the Bengal raiders. While Nitin Dhankhar scored a brilliant super-10, there was negligible support for him barring a few points from Sushil Kambrekar towards the latter stages. Maninder Singh was subbed off in the second half, we are yet to know why and Bengal simply did not have enough fire power.

Fazel Atrachali was the lone warrior for them in defense with a high-5 but there were far too many freebies given away which hurt them in the end.

While Bengal stay in the 8th position with that result, Dabang Delhi have jumped up to number 7 with 5 points from this contest having played the maximum number of matches out of all the teams.

Do-or-die raid for Antket Mane of Delhi and Fazel takes care of him and completes his Super-5. The gap down to 4 with 2 and a half minutes remaining.

A couple of bonus points in succession for Bengal Warriorz through Vishwas, in fact just the one as one of them has been taken away and Bengal lose their review. The gap continues to be 5 points, which way is this going?
36' Bengal Warriorz 25-31 Dabang Delhi KC

Sushil Kambrekar tries to burst through the Delhi defense but is unsuccessful in doing so before Ashu Malik puts in an empty raid

30' Bengal Warriorz 21-26 Dabang Delhi KC

A couple of empty raids follow and we are down to the last 10 minutes. 5 points is the lead for Delhi but Bengal are sensing a comeback here. Fazel has a lot of strapping around his jaw but he seems pumped up. This is going to be really interesting!
29' Bengal Warriorz 21-26 Dabang Delhi KC

Another lapse in the defense for Bengal before Sushil Kambrekar picks up his first point of the night. And then, a heavily strapped Fazel Atrachali gets hold of Ashu Malik. Dhankhar then follows it with a touch point and the deficit is down to 5
26' Bengal Warriorz 18-24 Dabang Delhi KC

A couple of empty raids follow which is succeeded by a do-or-die raid for Bengal. Nitin Dhankhar goes in but does not come back as Yogesh plucks him out of the air and Delhi continue with the 6-point lead
24' Bengal Warriorz 18-23 Dabang Delhi KC

A stupendous solo tackle on Ashu Malik from the Sultan really close to the midline as he goes for the backhold and there is no escape for the Delhi skipper. That has to be the play of the day so far
23' Bengal Warriorz 17-23 Dabang Delhi KC

Nitin Dhankhar continues his stellar form, he has now completed his Super-10 but the Bengal defense in continuing to leak points
21' Bengal Warriorz 15-20 Dabang Delhi KC

Ashu starts off with a successful raid on Mayur Kadam and then Nitin Dhankhar responds with a 2-point effort.
Big news before the start of the second half, Maninder Singh has been subbed out
HALF TIME 20' Bengal Warriorz 13-19 Dabang Delhi KC

Ashu Malik and Nitin Dhankhad get on a roll with single point raids one after the other and we come to the end of the first half with Dabang Delhi KC leading by 6 points.

Not a lot of people would have predicted that and even though Ashu Malik has spent quite a few minutes on the bench, Dabang Delhi have a healthy lead. Their defense has come good so far and the likes of Vinay and Ashish have done well for them.

Bengal have not played the greatest Kabaddi and the only positive for them has been Nitin Dhankhad who has been collecting riad points frequently. They need their stars in Maninder and Fazel to step up, they have had a quiet match so far.

20 minutes to go and this match can still go anywhere, will Bengal Warriorz make a comeback?
17' Bengal Warriorz 10-16 Dabang Delhi KC

A bonus and a touch point for Bengal through Nitin Dhankhad but then two unsuccessful tackles for them means that Delhi still lead by 6
15' Bengal Warriorz 8-14 Dabang Delhi KC

Guess what! Dabang Delhi KC get the first all-out of the game. Vishwas was subbed in for Fazel to raid and he could only get a bonus before getting captured in the Delhi half.
14' Bengal Warriorz 7-11 Dabang Delhi KC

Mainder gets tackled and Bengal Warriorz are down to 2. Ashu Malik gets a touch on Nitesh and Bengal have only 1 man on the mat
13' Bengal Warriorz 7-9 Dabang Delhi KC

Sushil Kambrekar enters the lobbies without a touch and then Vinay gets a big kick on the right-in to send him back. All of a sudden, Dabang Delhi have the lead
11' Bengal Warriorz 7-7 Dabang Delhi KC

Do-or-die raid for Nitin Panwar and he pulls out a fine dubki to get to the mid-line but guess what? he stepped into the lobby before a touch and is sent off. Ashu Malik comes in and goes straight into a do-or-die raid. He is unsuccessful for the third straight time, this time he gets tackled by the right corner and is back on the bench once again.
10' Bengal Warriorz 6-6 Dabang Delhi KC

A couple of empty raids follow and we are still on equal terms at the 10-minute mark. Both the teams have 5 men on court for themselves.

Bengal fail in a do-or-die raid and Delhi skipper Ashu Malik is back on. And just as I was typing that, Mayur Kadam executes a fine block on him and sends him back on the bench.
5' Bengal Warriorz 2-4 Dabang Delhi KC

A raid point apiece for both the teams amidst a few empty raids. Ashu continues to be on the bench and Delhi have not managed to revive him

Before we get started, have a look at our preview of the upcoming match 👇
Hello and good evening from Sourabh as I welcome you to Sportskeeda's continued live coverage of PKL 11. It is yet another double-header day at the GMC Gachibowli Indoor Stadium in Hyderabad and we will start things off with match 39 which will be between Bengal Warriorz and Dabang Delhi KC.

These are two teams who have had contrasting journeys so far in the tournament. On one side are the Bengal Warriorz who lost their season opener but have since been unbeaten having got 2 wins and 2 ties in their next 4 matches. On the other hand, Dabang Delhi KC had a promising start with 2 wins out of their first 3 outings but have only gone downhill from thereon and are coming into this contest with a losing streak of 4 matches. Bengal occupy the 8th spot in the points table while Dabang Delhi KC are currently at number 10 having played 7 games already. Bengal Warriorz, along with the Gujarat Giants, have played the least number of matches so far, 5 to be precise and that is a reason why they are still in the bottom half.

If we speak about the personnel, Bengal Warriorz have the superstar Maninder Singh who has been leading them in attack with 38 points in 5 matches so far. In defense, the Iranian powerhouse Fazal Atrachali has been ever reliant in the left corner and has performed really well in super tackle situations this time around. But the biggest positive for them has been the emergence of young all-rounder Sushil Kambrekar who has taken the load off their two big superstars.

Dabang Delhi KC have been hamstrung by the injury to their star raider in Naveen Kumar and they have found it difficult to fill the void left by him. While stand-in skipper Ashu Malik has performed admirably picking up 6 Super-10s in 7 matches, there has simply not been enough support for him. The Delhi defense too has been found wanting and even though Yogesh with a Super-5 in the previous match against U Mumba was a positive sign, they need a much more collective performance.

Bengal Warriorz have the opportunity to jump straight from eighth to the third place with a win here while Dabang Delhi KC desperately need to stop their run of losses and get moving north in the table. Who will come out on the right side of results? Let's find out!
