FULL TIME! Tamil Thalaivas 46-31 Bengal Warriorz 

A hat-trick of losses for the Bengal Warriorz and all of them have been pretty massive! As for the Tamil Thalaivas, they get back to winning ways after four consecutive losses and it will be a much-celebrated win tonight. In the absence of Maninder Singh, Sachin and Sahil Gulia, it was time for the youngsters to step up and show their class. Nitesh Kumar of the Thalaivas in the left corner wreaked havoc while Bastami pulled off multiple super tackles. Vishal Chahal with his quick raiding always kept the Thalaivas on top. On the other side, the Warriorz' corners along with Vishwas and Nitin played well but lacked support and didn't seem to have too many answers to what the Thalaivas were serving tonight! 

40' Akash Chavan escapes from Moein's attempted ankle hold and returns with a quick point. 

SUPER TACKLE! A double ankle hold from M Abishek and the rest of the defense comes around in a flash for assistance! 

Do-or-die raid for the Thalaivas and it is Bastami who comes in for raid. Runs down the clock and returns without a point. 

Thalaivas 46-31 Warriorz 

38' SUPER TACKLE! Nitin Kumar runs straight into the double thigh hold of Bastami and has no escape route.

Narender is now tackled as Manjeet puts in a double thigh hold.

SUPER TACKLE! Vishwas S is tackled as Bastami puts in a double thigh hold from which the raider fails to escape.

Thalaivas 44-29 Warriorz 

36' Fazel's ankle hold isn't strong and Vishal escapes. Fazel is livid but doesn't have to be as Nitin writhes his foot free and returns in a flash.

Moein is tackled as he runs straight into the double thigh hold of Fazel. Nitin gets a kick on Nitesh Kumar in the left corner and returns with a quick point.

Narender gets a point now as Manjeet goes for an unnecessary dash but Narender leaps towards the mid-line. Nitin Kumar gets a running touch on Vishal Chahal in the right-in.

Thalaivas 40-28 Warriorz 

34' ALL OUT! Nitesh Kumar is allowed the bonus following which an ankle hold from Thalaivas' Nitesh Kumar brings him down! 

An ankle hold from Warriorz's Nitesh Kumar and it is Vishwas S who is tackled! On the other side, Bastami with a strong dash but Vishwas S uses the lobby well to return with a point! 

Thalaivas 38-24 Warriorz 

32' Vishal Chahal tries a kick which forces Nitin to go out of bounds. 

So close yet so far! Vishwas S picks a bonus after which Narender snaps up a bonus point. The defence runs around and pills him back just in time!

30' Vishwas S has picked up two points! Pushes aside the incoming dashing Abhishek and also has a touch on Bastami, who whad come for assistance! 

Do-or-die raid for the Thalaivas and Vishal Chahal strikes! Escapes from Fazel's ankle hold and returns with a point. 

Thalaivas 32-20 Warriorz 

28' Vishwas S tries a bonus point which has been granted. However, Thalaivas review! Vishwas has just about picked it. Review unsuccessful! The bonus has been granted! 

SUPER RAID! Moein strikes! Escapes from the right corner's ankle hold and gets both the dashing covers on the way through too! 

Nitin Kumar is tackled as a double thigh hold from Bastami is followed by the rest of the defense coming around for assistance.

26' Vishal Chahal leaps over Nitesh Kumar's attempted double thigh hold and returns with a point. 

ALL OUT! Nitesh Kumar of the Thalaivas from the left corner a double ankle hold and Fazel cannot make his way back to the mid-line!

24' Do-or-die rai for the Thalaivas and Narender strikes! Gets a touch on Praveen Thakur and returns with a point. 

Do-or-die raid for the Warriorz on the other side and Nitin Kumar is tackled! Nitesh from the left corner with an ankle hold and Abishek is around for a dash in a flash 

Vishal Chahal sends back Mayur Kadam with a quick touch. Nitesh Kumar from the left corner with a solid back hold on Sushil and the Warriorz are down to two men. 

Thalaivas 22-16 Warriorz 

HALF TIME! Bengal Warriorz 16-18 Tamil Thalaivas 

A night for the youngsters, with some of the bigger names in both camps missing out on this match. It was the Warriorz who had taken the early lead and seemed to be in good shape. However, a super raid from Vishal Chahal tipped the scales and allowed Tamil to inflict the first all out of the contest, one which put the Thalaivas in the lead. The Warriorz will look to chip away and equalise it quickly while the Thalaivas will want to extend the lead. Who will emerge on top tonight? Stick around to find out

Warriorz 16-18 Thalaivas 

18' Do-or-die raid for Vishwas S is tackled as Bastami stands tall with a block and Vishwas runs straight into it. 

Moein is tackled as Sagar Kumar in the left corner puts in a double thigh hold to pin the raider down. 

Warriorz 14-18 Thalaivas 

16' Nitin Kumar gets a touch on Nitesh Kumar of the Thalaivas as the latter became overenthusiastic and tried a back hold. 

Vishal Chahal escapes from Mayur Kadam's attempted dash and uses the lobby to return. 

Fazel tries a double thigh hold but Vishal Chahal uses his height and speed to return in a flash! 

Warriorz 13-17 Thalaivas 

14' SUPER RAID Vishal Chahal with a raid to get them back in the lead! Leaps over the right corner's double thigh hold attempt. Two defenders lunge at him but Vishal drags himself back to the mid-line. 

ALL OUT! Fazel is granted the bonus following which, the right corner chain runs around to surround Fazel. 

Fazel runs around with a solid block and he stops Moein in his tracks! 

Warriorz 12-15 Thalaivas 

12' Moein picks up a bonus point in front of the left corner. 

Moein dives and gets a touch on Vishwas S. However, Vishwas S is mighty confident that there was no touch and Warriorz reviews! Seems to have gotten the smallest of touches, just a brush on his calf and the review is unsuccessful! 

Do-or-die raid for the Warriorz and Nitin is tackled! Nitesh Kumar of the Thalaivas with an ankle hold and Nitin is immobilised! 

Warriorz 10-9 Thalaivas

10' Do-or-die raid for the Thalaivas and Vishal Chahal is tackled as a double ankle hold from Fazel Atrachali pins him down. 

SUPER RAID! Vishwas S has pulled off a massive raid! Goes deep entices Narender into going for an ankle hold. Escapes from the left corner's ankle hold, who went after his other ankle and gets the dashing cover on the way back too. There's no touch on Narender but the bonus has been granted! 

Moein uses his raw power to bulldoze his way back to the mid-line as Parveen Thakur's block wasn't strong enough. 

Warriorz 10-6 Thalaivas 

8' Nitin Kumar snaps up a bonus point in front of the left corner. In his next raid, Nitin is tackled as the right corner chain led by Bastami runs around to tackle him. 

Warriorz 6-5 Thalaivas 

6' Nitesh Kumar from the right corner with a diving ankle hold and Narender is tackled! Vishwas S is tackled on the other side as soon as he picks up a bonus, a diving back hold from Bastami pins him down. 

Vishal Chahal is tackled now as Nitesh Kumar runs around with a dash and Vishal fails to jump over his double ankle hold. 

Warriorz 5-4 Thalaivas 

4' Do-or-die raid for the Thalaivas and Moein is tackled! As soon as he tries a bonus, the right-in puts in an ankle hold and the left side runs around for assistance. 

Parveen Thakur ran around with a dash and Narender is dashed out! Crossed the mid-line but his body was outside. Thalaivas review! His left hand is in the lobby while his right hand crosses the mat! Review successful! 

Nitin Kumar is tackled! An ankle hold from the left-in and Nitin has his hand on the mid-line but fails to get past it! Just a matter of inches! 

Warriorz 2-3 Thalaivas 

2' Nitesh Kumar from the left corner puts in a back hold on Vishwas S and tackles him comfortably! Nitin with a quick toe-touch on the right cover and he picks up a point.

Hello and welcome to Sportskeeda's live coverage of the Pro Kabaddi League, 2024. Tonight's first match will pit the Bengal Warriorz up against the Tamil Thalaivas at the Noida Indoor Stadium! 

The Bengal Warriorz find themselves struggling at the ninth position in the points table, with three wins, four losses and one tie from the 9 matches that they have played so far. They received a hammering at the hands of the Patna Pirates yesterday and will need to shrug that off and come with a fresh mindset as they look to get their campaign back on track. Maninder Singh and Fazel Atrachali will need to step up their game. 

The Tamil Thalaivas started their PKL 11 journey on a very high note but it has been downhill since. They have only one win in their last five games and come into this match on the back of a four-match losing streak. In their previous outing against U Mumba, they were completely outplayed in the first 35 minutes or so before staging a comeback. They will have gone back to the drawing board and should come out with a new strategy tonight.
