FULL-TIME!! UP Yoddhas 37- 42 Patna Pirates

A spirited performance from the young Patna Pirates, who outplayed the experienced UP Yoddhas in a hard-fought contest! While the Yoddhas began strong, holding the lead for the first ten minutes, it was Patna’s stunning dominance in the 11-20 minute stretch that turned the tide. Outscoring the Yoddhas 16-6 in that period, the Pirates established a lead they fiercely guarded until the final whistle.

Devank was once again in fine form with 11 raid points, and Ayan proved invaluable, adding eight raid points and one tackle point. Patna’s defense put in a team effort, with Deepak leading the charge at four tackle points, while Captain Shubham Shinde followed closely with three.

For the Yoddhas, Surender’s early surge faded as the match progressed, and even Bharat couldn’t fully find his rhythm tonight. Gagan Gowda showed flashes with nine raid points, mostly early on, while Hitesh was solid defensively, securing five tackle points but couldn’t get enough backup.

40' UP Yoddhas 37-42 Patna Pirates

Sumit uses his experience and gets the ankle of Devank right in time to push for a comeback.

Thiyagarajan Yuvaraj is making an impact as soon as he came on the mat. Another ankle hold and he sends Gagan Gowda back to the hut. 

Bharat Hooda goes in deep at the right corner and gets a hand on Shubham Shinde's face. 

Keshav Kumar goes in quickly and immediately gets a touch on Ankit a the left corner. 

Final raid of the night and it's a do or die as well. Ayan walks in and just runs the clock down. He then goes in deep and finds Sumit and Keshav with a chain tackle but performs a Dubki under them to end the game on a high note and clinch a clinical win. 

38' UP Yoddhas 33-39 Patna Pirates

UP Yoddhas are trying their best to close out the gap. Gagan Gowda tries a bonus under the left corner and escapes an ankle hold from Ankit. 

Sub Keshav Kumar comes in for the Yoddhas. Tries his best to get a point but ultimately loses to Thiyagarajan Yuvaraj's ankle hold at the left corner. 

36' UP Yoddhas 32-38 Patna Pirates

Same defender, same tackle but different raider. Deepak, this time dashes away Bhavani Rajput who was attempting a toe touch at the left corner. 

Arkam Shaikh is unstoppable tonight and is taking the big men. Another dash from behind as he blindsided Bharat Hooda. 

Do or die raid for Patna Pirates but Devank is tackled down by Sumit's textbook ankle hold. 

34' UP Yoddhas 31-36 Patna Pirates

A brilliant kick from Devank on Sumit at the right corner to get yet another point tonight. Just brilliant. 

Gagan Gowda responds with a quick bonus under right corner. 

Expect the unexpected as Bharat Hooda turns out to be the one tackling Devank. The raider tries to get a bonus but ends up giving his ankle to Bharat at right in. 

Patna reply with a tackle as well. Deepak dashes out Gagan Gowda with sheer power. 

32' UP Yoddhas 29-34 Patna Pirates

Bhavani Rajput comes in and goes back with a quick bonus under left corner. 

What a jump from Devank over the right corner Bhavani Rajput who tries to pull off a double ankle hold. 

ALL-OUT!! The worst way to give away points. Mohammadreza Kaboudrahangi gets a bonus under left corner but then finds his feet go out of bounds. 

30' UP Yoddhas 27-30 Patna Pirates

SUPER TACKLE!!! What is Ayan doing here now? Once again, he tries running, then touching, and once again, he steps out of bounds, giving away silly points. 

Arkam Shaikh once again repeats a tackle as he dashes out Surender Gill out of court. 

A crucial point for Patna Pirates. He goes in a three-man defense and gets a touch on Hitesh at the right corner. 

28' UP Yoddhas 25-28 Patna Pirates

SUPER TACKLE!! Ahh!! That's silly from Ayan. He tries a running hand touch on the left corner but can't control his pace and goes out off the mat. However, Sumit also loses his balance and finds himself in the lobby without any touch. 

A great dash from Arkam Shaikh and co. Bharat tries a running hand touch on the right corner but ends up showing his back to Arkam who makes no mistake. 

26' UP Yoddhas 23-26 Patna Pirates

The Pirates' defense is all over Gagan Gowda. They cover him from all corners giving him no room to escape. 

Bharat reduces the margin with a running bonus under right corner. 

24' UP Yoddhas 22-25 Patna Pirates

Patna Pirates' defense shows composure as captain Shubham Shinde pins Surender Gill down in a do or die raid with a block. 

SUPER TACKLE!! A perfect reply from UP's defense as Hitesh gets a great ankle hold on Ayan and was well supported by other defenders.  

Another from Hitesh. This time with a block on Sandeep who goes too deep at the left corner. 

22' UP Yoddhas 19-24 Patna Pirates

A brilliant escape from Sandeep who twists and turns to get away from Ashu Singh's block from the right cover. 

HALF-TIME! UP Yoddhas 19-23 Patna Pirates

What a first half that was to begin the new year! UP Yoddhas took the first half with a storm courtesy of Captain Surender Gill as they pushed a quick all-out! However, Patna came back in style courtesy of Devank and Ayan in raid and Shubham and Ankit in defense to not only push an all-out but also gain a four-point lead to go in the second half. 20' UP Yoddhas 19-23 Patna Pirates

Patna Pirates extend their lead as Shubham Shinde, with his sheer strength, blocks Bharat Hooda who was attempting a running hand touch. 

Third two-point raid for Gagan Gowda. This time he gets his hands on Sandeep and Deepak to bring the Yoddhas back in the game. 

That's very silly from Bharat Hooda to even attempt this. Devank entices Bharat by giving his ankle and then escapes back with ease. 

Patna end the first half on a high note as Ankit, with a textbook ankle hold pins down Gagan Gowda. 

18' UP Yoddhas 17-20 Patna Pirates

Ayan has been excellent tonight and once again he continues to shine with yet another running hand touch. This time it's Sumit who falls prey. 

Bharat gets his revenge on Ankit with a toe touch at the left corner. 

That's brutal from Mahender Singh. A powerful block from the left corner as he stops Ayan run away with a touch. 

16' UP Yoddhas 15-18 Patna Pirates

Devank continues getting points and this time with a bonus under the left in. 

Patna oh Patna!! What a comeback this has been from them. Shubham Shinde gets the big fish Surender Gill with a perfect back hold from the right corner. 

Poor from Hitesh this time as he advances for a dash but Devank finds his way back easily. 

14' UP Yoddhas 15-15 Patna Pirates

Ayan is pushing for a comeback for Pirates. A running hand touch on Mahender Singh at the right in. 

Patna's defense has also risen now. Surender Gill tries a bonus under left corner but is dashed down by Deepak. 

UP Yoddhas are down to just one man. Ayan goes in deep at the right corner and gets a touch on Hitesh's chest. 

ALL OUT!!! Bharat Hooda gets a bonus but fails to escape Ankit's ankle hold. 

12' UP Yoddhas 14-9 Patna Pirates

What a beautiful kick from Sandeep. It was brave of him to go deep at the left corner and get a kick on Sumit's chest. 

Lovely from Surender Gill. A fantastic reverse toe touch as he catches Ankit off guard at the left corner. 

Silly from Ashu Singh at the left cover. Goes for an advance ankle hold but Ayan jumps over and escapes with ease. 

10' UP Yoddhas 13-7 Patna Pirates

Do or die for Devank and he uses his height to advantage. A running bonus under right cover Mahender Singh who tries to grab Devank's ankle. However, the tall raider easily manages to ease past the midline. 

Do or die for Bharat Hooda as well. Spends time on the right corner and runs quickly to get a running hand touch on the left in Sandeep. 

A similar running hand touch on the other side as well. Devank extends his arm and sends Ashu Singh back to the hut. 

Captain Shubham Shinde gets his first point of the night with a textbook block on Gagan Gowda. 

8' UP Yoddhas 12-3 Patna Pirates

Back to back multi-point raids for Gagan Gowda. A perfect escape under the chain of Deepak and Arkam Shaikh. 

6' UP Yoddhas 10-3 Patna Pirates

Surender Gill is looking in fine form tonight as he gets a kick on Ankit's chest at the left corner.

Last man in for Patna. Ayan gets a bonus under right corner but Hitesh laters grabs his ankle to inflict the first ALL-OUT!!

Do or die raid for the tall Devank. He tries to get a running hand touch on the right corner but Hitesh and Ashu Singh's chain tackle blocks him down. 

Captain Gill is pressing and is pushing Patna towards an all-out. Tries a kick on left corner, doesn't get one but escapes a dash from Navdeep.

Devank starts off with an easy bonus right under the nose of right in. 

Surender Gill responds with a bonus too under left in and in the process escapes an ankle hold by Sandeep. 

A stunning multi-point raid from Gagan Gowda. Gets a running hand touch on Deepak followed by escaping a block from Shubham Shinde.
