Dana White, the president and newly appointed CEO of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), recently oversaw a $21 billion deal merging World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) and the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). White is one of the most successful combat sports businessmen and promoters, having transformed his mixed martial arts business into a lucrative promotion that has a star-studded roster full of elite mixed martial artists.

Dana White was born in Manchester, Connecticut, USA, on July 28, 1969. He spent a considerable part of his childhood in Ware, Massachusetts. White later moved to Las Vegas with his mother, June White, and sister, Kelly.

The UFC President, Dana White, managed Tito Ortiz and Chuck Liddell in 2000. He crossed paths with real fighters at a time when he was working as a coach. According to him, he had a rough childhood where he was surrounded by people involved in selling drugs and running street gangs. Dana White, right after completing high school, tried his hand at several jobs, only to realize that his knack lay in combat sports. He worked as a boxing coach at a Boston-based club.

Post-fight, he expressed his wish to get involved in the business by incorporating it into the UFC’s portfolio. He has since retracted his earlier plans.
