Peebles played at Duke from 2020 to 2023, appearing in 48 games and recording 87 tackles, and 14 sacks. After the 2023 season, he entered the transfer portal and committed to Virginia Tech. In his one season at Virginia Tech, he played 12 games, recording 31 tackles, 7 tackles for loss, and 3 sacks.
