When is Round 2 of 2024 NFL Draft?

It is the 2024 NFL Draft season. While the fans are excited to see which player is going to get picked by their franchise, the team executives are thrilled on making the right move that will boost the franchise’s chances of winning. The next few days of the draft will be focused on teams making selections that will give them the best position to form a strong roster that will help them compete for the Super Bowl in the coming years.

The 2024 NFL draft class is loaded with talent. Round 1 will have some of the best players in the country getting picked by the teams. This will take place on Thursday, 25 April 2024. The festivities begin at 8 p.m Eastern Time on Day 1 and will set the platter ready for Round 2.

What time will Round 2 of the NFL Draft begin?

The Round 2 of the 2024 NFL Draft will be happening on Friday, 26 April 2024. Round 2 will begin on Day 2 at 7 p.m Eastern Time.

Round 2 of the 2024 NFL Draft will begin from the 33rd pick through 64th pick. The Day 2 of the 2024 NFL Draft will feature two rounds taking place - Round 2 and Round 3. There will be a total of 64 regular draft picks on Day 2 and seven compensatory picks.

There will be seven minutes for the teams to decide on the pick in the Round 2 of the NFL draft. And in Round 3, teams will only have five minutes to make the selection, irrespective of a regular or a compensatory draft pick.

Round 2 is the best phase of the draft for the teams that have many issues to address without the cap space to make moves. Teams will be very busy as they look to acquire starter-level and first-rounder talents in Round 2.

Hence, the teams that do pick early in Round 2, will be looking to make a move and trade down for the player of their choice.

Derrick Henry, Running Back, (No. 45, 2016)

Derrick Henry is arguably the best running back in the league in 2023. The Tennessee Titans drafted him as the 45th overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft. In his 8-year NFL career, the RB has made three Pro Bowl selections, two time rushing yards and rushing touchdowns leader and has also won the offensive player of the year award, among many other accolades.

Brett Favre, Quarterback
