He achieved his career-high singles ranking of No. 2 in June 2022. Zverev has won 22 singles titles in his career till date. His major career highlights are winning the ATP finals in 2018 and 2021 and winning the gold medal in singles at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.


Zverev has finished as runner-up in grand slams twice. He reached the final of the US Open in 2020, where he lost in the final against Dominic Thiem. He also reached the final of the French Open in 2024, where he lost to Carlos Alcaraz in the championship match.


Zverev was an accomplished junior player, who won the junior grand slam title at the 2014 Australian Open. He also achieved a career-high juniors ranking of World No. 1.
