Early Life and Career
Amanda Ribas started training under her father, Marcelo Ribas, who was a judo and jiu-jitsu coach at a very young age. She trained under Marcelo Ribas until she got into one of the youth national judo teams.
Growing up, Amanda Ribas did not train for a few years as she suffered a knee injury. And later started training in mixed martial arts as she saw some friends and colleagues preparing for an MMA tournament.
In 2014, Amanda Ribas won the International Mixed Martial Arts Federation World Championship in the women’s flyweight division. She had a fantastic MMA record of 6-1 before signing with the UFC.

Amanda Ribas made her octagon debut on June 29, 2019, against Emily Whitmire at UFC on ESPN: Ngannou vs. dos Santos, and won the bout via rear naked choke submission.
