He fights in the light heavyweight division and is an active fighter in the leading mixed martial arts promotion, the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). He also competed in Bellator for a brief while before returning to the UFC.

Anthony Smith is an experienced professional competitor who has been in 55 professional bouts so far. He made his debut in professional mixed martial arts on February 29, 2008, against Dave Moran at Victory FC 22: Ascension. Smith exhibited impressive dominance in his debut showdown and submitted Moran in the second round of the bout.

Riding high on his ability to finish his opponents without letting the fight reach the final bell, Smith made his way into the UFC on June 8, 2013, in a bout against Antonio Brega Neto. The fight didn't go according to his plans, and he lost via second-round submission, leading to his release from the promotion.
