Early Life and Career
Figueiredo began wrestling at nine before moving to Belem and starting Capoeira Training. He would then start training in MMA at the age of 16 and made his professional MMA debut at the age of 24 at Knock Out Combat Icoaraci. He would win the fight via armbar submission in the first round.
Deiveson would dominate the Brazilian regional circuit. He would have a professional record of 11-0 before joining the UFC in 2017.

Figueiredo made his UFC debut in 212 against Marco Beltran; he won via TKO(corner stoppage). He would follow this up with victories over Jarred Brooks, Joseph Morales, and John Mor.
Deiveson's perfect record would be broken at UFC Fight Night 148 as he would lose the bout to Jussier Formiga via a unanimous decision. He would bounce back and defeat Alexandre Pantoja in 2019 to secure a title shot for the Vacant UFC Flyweight Championship against Joseph Benavidez.
Figueiredo would defeat Benavidez at UFC Fight Night 169 but would not win the championship as he lost 2.5 pounds. Deiveson would again fight at Benavidez at UFC Fight Night 172 for the vacant Flyweight title. This time Deiveson would again win and become the UFC Flyweight Champion.
Figueiredo made his first defense against Alex Perz at UFC 255.
