DeMar DeRozan

DeMar DeRozan is an American professional basketball player who plays as a shooting Guard for the Chicago Bulls in the NBA. He is currently playing his 13th season and has been a Five-time NBA All-star and three times a member of the NBA All-Team. He played nine seasons with the Toronto Raptors, including five playoff campaigns then he moved to the spurs in the summer of 2018 and the Bulls in 2021. He was chosen by the Toronto Raptors with the 9th overall pick in the first round of the 2009 NBA Draft. He is considered the best Mid-Range Shooter in the league.

Early life

DeRozan played high school basketball for the Trojans at USC while attending Compton High School. He received the McDonald's All-American and First Team Parade All-American honors for the 2008 campaign.

DeRozan went to the USC Trojans to play college basketball Before joining the NBA. He is well known for his mid-range shooting, and many people believe that he is the NBA's best mid-range shooter right now. DeRozan scored double digits for the Trojans in 28 of the 35 games he played as a sophomore. As well as being chosen to the Pac-10 All-Freshman Team, he won the Pac-10 Tournament.

DeRozan became just the second player to accomplish this feat since Michael Jordan did it in 1987–88 during the 2016–17 season when he scored 30 or more points in nine of the first 11 games. His season-ending averages of 27.3 points, 5.2 rebounds, 3.9 assists, and 1.1 steals per game were all career highs for him. After Vince Carter's 27.6 average during the 2000–01 season, his 27.3 average was the second-highest in the history of the team. He averaged 22.4 points, 4.9 rebounds, 3.4 assists, and 1.4 steals per game in 10 playoff games.

DeRozan set a franchise mark with 52 points in the 2017–18 season, which helped the Toronto Raptors defeat the Milwaukee Bucks 131–127 in overtime. DeRozan equaled his postseason career-high 37 points against the Washington Wizards in Game 2 of the 2018 NBA Playoffs. He played in 10 postseason games, averaging 22.7 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 4 assists as the Toronto Raptors were swept by LeBron James' Cleveland Cavaliers.
