Early Life and Career
Demetrious Johnson was born on August 13, 1986, in Madisonville, Kentucky, United States. He went to Washington High School, where he started competing as an athlete in various sports like wrestling, cross country, and track running.
As Johnson wanted to stay with his family, he joined Pierce College for two years.
Mighty Mouse made his professional MMA debut in 2007 and won the fight via knockout in the first round.
Demetrious Johnson made his World Extreme Cagefighting debut at WEC 48 on April 24, 2010, and won the fight against Brad Pickett in Sacramento, California, U.S.
Later in 2010, WEC merged with the UFC on October 28.
As a part of the merge, johnson had to make his UFC debut against Miguel Torres on May 28, 2011, at UFC 130.
Demetrious Johson won the inaugural UFC flyweight championship on September 22, 2012, at UFC 152 against Joesph Benavidez. Johnson won the fight via split decision in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He made a record of 11 successful title defenses in the UFC, which Anderson Silva later broke with 15 title defenses.

‘Mighty Mouse’ was traded to One Championship by UFC for Ben Askren on October 27, 2018.
Demetrious Johnson made his One Championship debut against Yuya Wakamatsu on March 31, 2019, and won the fight via guillotine submission. The event took place in Tokyo, Japan.
His second fight was for the One Flyweight World Grand Prix semi-final at One: Dawn of Heroes against Tatsumitsu Wada, and he won the fight via unanimous decision. The fight occurred on August 2, 2019, in Pasay, Philippines.
Johnson won the ONe CHampiosnhip World Grand Prix against Danny Kingad via unanimous decision. The fight featured at the One: Century Part 1 on October 13, 2019, in Tokyo, Japan.
