Devin Haney is an American professional boxer who reigns as the World Boxing Council (WBC) super lightweight champion, he is a former WBA super WBC, WBO, IBF, and the Ring lightweight champion. Considered as one of the best in the business, Haney made his professional boxing debut on December 11, 2015. In his debut showdown, Haney went head-to-head against Gonzalo Lopez in a four-round bout where he won via first-round TKO.

Ever since his professional debut, Devin Haney went on a rampage and secured consecutive victories in his favor. During this course, he won the WBC Youth Lightweight Championship against Maximino Toala. After having secured an impressive record of 19 wins and 0 losses, Devin Haney won another title in the form of the USBA Lightweight Championship against Mason Menard. The former WBA (super) WBC, WBO, IBF, and the Ring lightweight champion vacated his championship in order to move up to super lightweight and face Regis Prograis on December 9, 2023.

Devin Haney and Regis Progais met each other inside the squared circle in a high-octane 12-round boxing bout. The fight went the distance of 12 rounds and the winner was declared on the judges’ scorecard. All the judges scoring the contest scored it as 12–107 in Devin Haney’s favor. He became the new Super WBC lightweight champion by a unanimous decision.
