Early Life
Dijak's real name is Christopher James Dijak. He was born on the 23rd of April in 1987 in Lunenburg, Massachusetts, United States. His ancestor includes Croatian, Hungarian, and Italian. Dijak had been interested in sports and athletics since his childhood and was specifically excelling in football before he transitioned his career into pro wrestling. His exceptional talent on the football field garnered attention from top New England college programs. Recognized as the 2005 Sentinel & Enterprise Male Scholar Athlete of the Year, Dijak's dedication extended beyond the field. He earned the Central Massachusetts Shriners All-Star selection and captaincy roles during his senior year. He was also named the team MVP.
Though Dijak initially committed to playing football at UMass Amherst, he ultimately transferred to Bridgewater State University, Boston. This move proved fruitful, as he thrived in both football and basketball at Bridgewater State. His athletic achievements were recognized by all-league honors in both sports, culminating in his selection to the NCAA Division III Football East Region All-American team. In 2010, Dijak graduated from Bridgewater State with a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice.
Professional Wrestling Career
Early Years (2013-2017)
In 2013, Dijak made his professional wrestling debut at Chaotic Wrestling. During his time with Chaotic Wrestling, he won the Heavyweight, Tag Team, and New England Championship. In 2014, he joined ROH and defeated Stokely Hathaway in his debut. Later, he joined The House of Truth and turned heel. He spent another two years in ROH before leaving the company in 2017.
WWE (2017-Present)
In 2018, Dijak made his NXT debut due to contract obligations from ROH. Later, he was renamed to Dominik Dijakovic. After his return from an injury, Dijakovic turned face and joined Team Ciampa. At WarGames, Team Ciampa defeated The Undisputed Era. In 2020, he faced Keith Lee for the North American Championship and lost. In his final match for NXT, he faced Karrion Kross and lost.
In September, he made his RAW debut as a member of Retribution as T-BAR. As a member of the group, he wore a mask and worked alongside other members of the stable to wreak havoc on the RAW roster. They attacked almost everyone on the roster and feuded against the likes of Ricochet, Apollo Crews, Mustafa Ali and Cedric Alexander during the first few months. In October 2023, the group's leader was introduced who was none other than their then-opponent Mustafa Ali. The group failed to enjoy much victories during their run. Their major feud came against The Judgment Day, who defeated Retribution convincingly.
In March 2021, T-Bar and Mace attacked Ali and disbanded the stable. While the group was disbanded, T-BAR and Mace stayed as a tag team and worked in the tag division. The next month, the two superstars supported The Hurt Business and started wrestling without the mask. During the 2021 WWE Draft, Mace was drafted to SmackDown and T-Bar was drafted to Monday Night RAW.
He unsuccessfully challenged for the WWE United States Championship against Damian Priest a few times before being sent off to Main Event. Former Retribution member T-Bar, now under his original name Dijak, made his return to NXT on November 22nd. He immediately set his sights on the NXT North American Championship, attacking Wes Lee just moments after Lee successfully defended the title against Carmelo Hayes. Their clash culminated at NXT Vengeance Day, where Dijak had the opportunity to claim the coveted championship. However, Tony D'Angelo and his associate Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo interfered in the match, creating a distraction that allowed Lee to capitalize and retain the title. On the November 7 episode of NXT, Dijak defeated the only NXT Triple Crown Champion Tyler Bate to qualify for the Men's Iron Survivor Challenge Match at NXT Deadline.
