Eddie Kingston: A Brief Biography

Edward Moore is an American Professional Wrestler who currently performs on All Elite Wrestling under the ring name Eddie Kingston. Considered one of the best mic workers of the modern era, Moore began his career in 2002 and has appeared in numerous promotions before finally joining AEW in 2020.

Professional Wrestling Career


Chikara


Moore made his pro wrestling debut on October 12, 2002, in Chikara under the name Eddie Kingston in a tag team match alongside BlackJack Marciano, together known as The Wild Cards in a winning effort. Kingston spent roughly fourteen years in the promotion while actively performing at other wrestling promotions as well. He returned to the company in 2018 for a two-year stint.




Combat Zone Wrestling


Kingston first appeared on CZW in 2004 and soon became a member and main talker for the faction BLKOUT. He also won the CZW Tag Team Championship with Joker, a fellow BLKOUT member. In his eight-year tenure at the promotion, Kingston also won the CZW Heavyweight Championship once.


Ring of Honor


Kingston's early appearances in ROH came as a member of CZW and BLKOUT who intended to disrupt the proceedings. He spend roughly eight years at the promotion but failed to win any gold. Kingston challenged Kevin Steen and reDRagon for ROH World and Tag Team Championships respectively but ended up on the losing side.


Impact Wrestling


Eddie Kingston debuted on TNA/Impact Wrestling in 2016 as a member of the Death Crew Council. He spent more than a year as a member of the faction and joined Latin American XChange after the former stable disbanded. He was renamed King and soon assumed the leadership of XChange before he and Impact quietly parted ways in 2018.


Other Promotions


Kingston also performed at Evolve, National Wrestling Alliance, AAW Wrestling, Independent Wrestling Association Mid-South, Impact Wrestling, Pro Wrestling Guerrilla, West Side Extreme Wrestling, Jersey All Pro Wrestling, and other indie promotions before joining AEW in 2020.


All Elite Wrestling


Kingston made his AEW debut on Dynamite for AEW TNT Championship against Cody Rhodes in a losing effort. Kingston has also challenged for the AEW World Championship and AEW Tag Team Championship but is yet to win any gold in Tony Khan's promotion. He has also featured in various high-profile feuds against the likes of Jon Moxley, Bryan Danielson, CM Punk, and Chris Jericho in AEW.
