Ezekiel Jackson: A Brief Biography
Rycklon Ezekiel Stephens is a Guyanese-American retired professional wrestler and bodybuilder best known as Ezekiel Jackson in WWE. He is a former Intercontinental and ECW Champion.
Professional Wrestling Career
WWE (2007-2014)
In 2007, Stephens signed a developmental deal with WWE and began working for FCW. In 2008, they moved him to the main roster, and they renamed him, Ezekiel. On SmackDown, he teamed up with Brian Kendrick and performed in the tag team division. In 2009, they drafted Ezekiel to ECW, where he teamed up with Vladimir Kozlov and William Regal.
After six months, Jackson defeated Christian to become the last ECW Champion, and the show was closed. In 2010, Jackson joined Team RAW at Bragging Rights and lost. Jackson spent some time as a singles competitor before being drafted to SmackDown. In 2011, he joined The Corre. At WrestleMania XXVII, Big Show, Kane, Kofi Kingston, and Santino Marella defeated The Corre.
Over the summer, Jackson began feuding with Barrett for the Intercontinental Championship. In June, he defeated Barrett to win the Intercontinental Championship. After losing the title to Cody Rhodes, Jackson started a losing streak. Later, Jackson remained inactive due to injury and ongoing surgery, which led to his departure from the company.
Post WWE (2014-2016)
After his released, Stephen went to TNA and spent a few months at the promotion. In September, he began working with Lucha Underground. After a few years, Stephens became a trainer and retired from wrestling.
