Giovanni Vinci (real name - Fabian Aichner) is an Italian professional wrestler currently signed with WWE. He is a former two-time NXT Tag Team Champion. Vinci is currently drafted on Monday Night RAW where he is a member of the Imperium faction.
Early Life
Giovanni Vinci was born July 21, 1990, in South Tyrol, Italy. Vinci was interested in sports and physical activities from a young age and even began his professional wrestling career at the age of 21. He made his pro-wrestling debut in December 2011 in New European Championship Wrestling.
Professional Wrestling Career
Early Years (2011-2017)
In 2011, Aicher made his wrestling debut at New European Championship Wrestling. Aichner spent a few years training and wrestling at the European circuit before making it to WWE.
WWE (2017-Present)
In 2016, he appeared at CWC and was eliminated in the first round by Jack Gallagher. In 2017, he won the Evolve Championship and worked a few dates in Evolve before they moved him to NXT and NXT UK. In 2018, he formed a team with Barthel called European Union. By the end, they joined Imperium along with Walter and began working at NXT UK.
At World's Collide, Imperium defeated The Undisputed Era. During the Pandemic, they defeated Matt Riddle to win the NXT Tag Team Championship. After 100 days as champion, they lost the title to Breezango. In 2021, they defeated MSK and won their second NXT Tag Team Championship. At Stand and Deliver, they lost the titles back to MSK.
He returned to NXT a few months later under the ring name Giovanni Vinci. At Clash at the Castle, Vinci re-joined Imperium as he made his way to the ring alongside Gunther and Ludvig Kaiser.
Since then, Vinci has supported his two stablemates in their matches including helping Gunther beat the record of Honky Tonk Man for the Longest Reigning Intercontinental Champion in WWE.
