Swedish professional golfer Henrik Olof Stenson, better known as Henrik Stenson, was born in Gothenburg, Sweden, on April 5, 1976 to Ingemar and Mona Stenson. Henrik first tried golfing after following one of his friends on the course from a very early age. Henrik learned to play golf using his right hand despite being a left-handed person. In 1991, Henrik shifted from Sweden to the USA and attended the University of South Carolina, where he developed his golfing skills while playing various college golf tournaments.
