Early Life and Career
Jose Aldo made his professional debut in 2004, immediately becoming known for his devastating knockouts and submissions. After a loss to Luciano Azevedo in 2005, Aldo competed in multiple organizations before entering the WEC.
Aldo found huge success in the WEC, winning the Featherweight Championship in 2009 by defeating Mike Brown. Impressive wins continued against fierce opponents such as Cub Swanson, Urijah Faber, and Manny Gamburyan.
