WWE Career (2020 - Present)

Aoife Cusack's WWE journey began in January 2020 with a name change to Aoife Valkyrie. She immediately impressed, winning her debut match on NXT UK against Amale. This victory was followed by a two-night winning streak, defeating both Isla Dawn and Amale again. Her dominance continued in March with another win over Nina Samuels.

February 2020 saw Valkyrie venturing beyond NXT UK, participating in two house shows for the Black-and-Gold NXT. Valkyria defeated Lynch to become NXT Women's Champion at NXT: Halloween Havoc and successfully defended her title in November against Xia Li.

Lyra Valkyria had a strong start to 2024, defending her NXT Women's Championship against several challengers including Blair Davenport, a triple threat match at Vengeance Day, and Shotzi. She also teamed with Tatum Paxley in a non-title match against the Kabuki Warriors for the Women's Tag Team Championship. However, things turned sour after she lost the title to Roxanne Perez at Stand & Deliver and her partnership with Paxley fell apart. Valkyria's final match in NXT was a triple threat for the title at Spring Breakin', which she unfortunately lost.

On the April 29 episode of RAW, which was the second night of the WWE Draft 2024, Lyra Valkyria was drafted to Monday Night RAW. On the May 6, 2024, episode of RAW, she saved her former rival and the Women’s World Champion Becky Lynch from a beatdown at the hands of Damage CTRL (Dakota Kai, Iyo Sky and Kairi Sane). That night, she defeated Kairi Sane in the Queen of the Ring tournament and defeated Zoey Stark the next week to advance to the semi-finals.
