Meiko Satomura: A Brief Biography
The highly-sought after Japanese star Meiko Satomura signed with WWE in October 2020. Making her in-ring debut in February 2021, Satomura impressed one and all with her performances over the next few months.
On the June 10, 2021 episode of NXT UK, Satomura defeated the longest-reigning NXT UK Women's Champion, Kay Lee Ray, ending her run at the top after 649 days. She would go on to hold the belt for 451 days.
At Worlds Collide 2022, Satomura lost to NXT Women's Championship Mandy Rose in a triple-threat match also involving Blair Davenport. The title was then unified into the NXT Women's Championship and NXT UK went onto a brief hiatus.
