Early Life and Career
Merab Dvalishvili was born and raised in Tbilisi, Georgia. He started training in judo, sambo, and wrestling for self-defense at a very young age. Dvalishvili started transitioning into mixed martial arts in 2010 as he loved fighting.
He has a Degree in Physical Education from a college in Georgia.
Merab Dvalishvili made his professional debut on January 24, 2014, against Darren Mima and lost the fight via decision. The fight took place at Ring of Combat 47 in Atlantic City, New Jersey, United States.
On February 24, 2017, Dvalishivili won the vacant Ring of Combat bantamweight championship by defeating Sukhrob Aydarbekov via submission.
He had a professional record of 7-2-0 before signing up for the UFC.
