Michelle McCool: A Brief Biography

Michelle Leigh Calaway is an American professional wrestler. She is best known for her work with WWE as Michelle McCool. She is a former two-time Divas Champion and two-time WWE Women's Champion.

Professional Wrestling Career

WWE (2004-2011) (2018)

WWE signed McCool to a three-year deal with the company as a runner-up during their Divas Search content. She worked at DSW and OVW to train and improve herself as a performer. In 2005, she made several appearances on SmackDown and had a few matches on the show.

In 2006, she returned to SmackDown with a sexy school teacher gimmick. She was involved in various flirtatious matches, such as bra and panties and bikini contests, throughout the years. In 2008, she defeated Natalya to win her first Divas Championship.

After 155 days, she lost the title to Maryse. She began feuding with Maria and won. In May, she defeated Melina to win her first WWE Women's Championship. In 2009, she formed a team with Layla called LayCool. At Royal Rumble, she lost the title to Mickie James but won it back on SmackDown. At Extreme Rules, McCool lost the title to Beth Phoenix.

At Night of Champions, McCool defeated Melina to unify the Women's and Divas Championship. At Survivor Series, she lost the title to Natalya. After a series of miscommunications, LayCool officially split. At Extreme Rules, Layla defeated McCool, and she retired.

In 2018, McCool entered the inaugural Royal Rumble where she eliminated seven people. At Evolution, she entered a battle royal but failed to win. She also appeared on RAW where the women of the past were honored.
