Usyk was the first boxer in the cruiserweight and heavyweight divisions to hold all four major world titles, making him widely regarded as one of the greatest Ukrainian boxers of all time. His victory over Tyson Fury in 2024 solidified his status as one of only three boxers to unify the cruiserweight world titles and become a world heavyweight champion, joining Evander Holyfield and David Haye.

As an amateur, Usyk secured heavyweight gold medals at the 2011 World Championships and the 2012 Olympics. His professional career has been equally impressive, with the undisputed cruiserweight championship attained in his 15th professional fight in 2018.
