Petra Kvitova is a professional tennis player from the Czech Republic who achieved a career-high singles ranking of No. 2 in October 2011. One of the best players in the world in terms of pure ground-strokes, Kvitova has won two Grand Slam titles till date. A Wimbledon veteran, Petra Kvitova was born on March 8, 1990 in Bílovec, Czechoslovakia (now Czech Republic). Her first moment of recognition came when she beat former No.1 Dinara Safina at the 2009 US Open.
