Peyton Royce: A Brief Biography
Cassandra Lee McIntosh is an Australian professional wrestler signed with Impact Wrestling. She is best known for her work with WWE as Peyton Royce. She is the current one-half of the Impact Knockouts Champion. She is a former WWE Women's Tag Team Champion.
Professional Wrestling Career
Independent Promotions (2009-2015)
Before signing with WWE, McIntosh worked for several independent promotions, such as PWWA, Pro Wrestling Alliance Australia, New Horizons Pro Wrestling, Melbourne City Wrestling, and Riot City Wrestling.
WWE
NXT (2015-2018)
She signed a developmental contract with WWE in 2015 and went to NXT for training. During her time in NXT, they renamed her as Peyton Royce. In the initial days, Royce faced the NXT Women's Champion and failed. In October, she teamed up with Billie Kay.
In December, the duo started feuding with Asuka for the NXT Women's Championship but failed to win. At TakeOver San Antonio, both Kay and Royce took part in a fatal 4 way for the NXT Women's Championship and lost. At TakeOver WarGames, Royce faced Kairi Sane, Ember Moon, and Nikki Cross for the vacant NXT Women's Championship and lost.
The IIconics (2018-2020)
After WrestleMania 34, Royce and Kay debuted on SmackDown and attacked Charlotte. The IIconics defeated Asuka and Becky Lynch on SmackDown. At Super Show Down, they defeated Asuka and Naomi in their hometown of Australia. In January, they both entered the inaugural Royal Rumble but lost.
In 2019, they entered the Elimination Chamber for the inaugural WWE Women's Tag Team Championships and lost to Boss n Hug Connection. At WrestleMania 35, they won the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship. On Raw, they lost the titles to Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross. After losing the titles, they spent the year in tag team competition but couldn't regain the titles.
In 2020, the duo returned to face Bliss and Cross but lost. On RAW, they were defeated by the Riott Squad, which led the duo to disband.
Solo Run and Lacey Evans (2020-2021)
After being drafted to RAW, Royce began her time as a solo competitor. She began teaming up with Lacey Evans and formed an unlikely alliance. On RAW, she faced Asuka and lost. After WrestleMania 37, they released her from her contract.
Impact Wrestling (2021-Present)
In October, Lee and Kay formed The IInspiration and debuted on Impact Wrestling. At Bound for Glory, they won the Impact Knockout Tag Team Championship. The duo is currently facing The Influencers and set to face them at Hard to Kill 2022.
