Skye Blue Early Life
Skye Blue’s real name is Skylar Dolecki. She was born in Chicago, Illinois, USA on October 2, 1999. Dolecki had aspired to become a professional wrestler at a very young age. She had started training professionally before 18 at Premier Wrestling Academy and also Randy Ricci. After her initial training, Blue then made her pro-wrestling debut on the indies in Illinois. Her first match was in the Premier Pro Wrestling, the promotion where Randy Ricci is a partner.
Skye Blue Professional Wrestling Career
Early Career
Skye Blue made her professional wrestling debut, at the age of 17 against Sierra in June 2017 in Premier Pro Wrestling. She would then contest a few more matches against Sierra before finally defeating her in August that year. Her next feud was against Connor Corr, exchanging victories beginning from September 2017 to April 2018.
In August 2019, she made her debut in Global Professional Wrestling, and then over the next couple of years, Blue would go on to perform in promotions such as AAW Wrestling, Chicago Style Wrestling, Pro Wrestling ZERO1 USA, Warrior Wrestling, and more.
During her time in these promotions, Blue won the AAW Women’s Championship, CSW Women’s Championship, ZERO1 USA Women’s Championship, Warrior Wrestling Women’s Championship, and GPW Battle Royal Championship.
All Elite Wrestling (2021-Present)
Skye Blue's AEW journey kicked off on April 7th, 2021, with a spirited debut against Britt Baker on AEW Dark: Elevation. She failed to win her debut match. Soon after, she faced Red Velvet on AEW Dark. Blue made her pay-per-view debut at All Out, battling it out in the electrifying Casino Battle Royale.
On the October 6 episode of AEW Rampage, she faced Jade Cargill in a losing effort. Then, in January 2022, she debuted on AEW Dynamite, where she locked horns with Serena Deeb and lost. In April 2022, she partook in the Owen Hart Foundation Women’s Tournament but lost to Jamie Hayter, early in the tournament. Blue had her first title opportunity in August when she teamed up with Dante Martin in a losing effort against Sammy Guevara and Tay Melo for the AAA World Mixed Tag Team Championship.
On January 6, 2023, Blue challenged Jade Cargill for the AEW TBS Championship but lost. In April, she signed a full-time contract with AEW. On June 9, she won a four-way match to become the No. 1 contender for the AEW Women's World Championship. On June 14, she challenged Toni Storm for the title but lost due to a distraction. On June 17, she teamed with Willow Nightingale to defeat Storm and her ally Ruby Soho. On June 23, she advanced to the quarterfinals of the Owen Hart Foundation Women's Tournament by defeating Anna Jay A.S.
On September 23, 2023, Julia Hart of the House of Black sprayed a black mist into Skye Blue's eyes during an episode of AEW Collision. Following this incident, Blue's appearance and demeanor gradually shifted. She displayed a more aggressive wrestling style and adopted heavy black-eye makeup. This storyline progressed on November 1st Dynamite, where Hart offered an alliance, but Blue countered by spraying mist back at her. Despite this act, Blue's change in behavior persisted. Finally, on December 16th Collision, Blue officially formed a heel alliance with Hart by joining her in an attack on Abadon, before being interrupted by a returning Thunder Rosa.
Ring of Honor (2023-Present)
On March 2, 2023, Skye Blue teamed with Madison Rayne to defeat The Renegades (Charlette Renegade and Robyn Renegade) in her Ring of Honor debut on Honor Club. Later, on May 11th, she challenged Athena for the ROH Women's World Championship in the main event of the televised ROH episode but ultimately fell short.
