Melissa Cervantes is a Mexican-born American professional wrestler best known for her work on the independent circuit and AEW as Thunder Rosa. She is the current AEW Women's World Champion and is out of action.

Professional Wrestling Career

Independent Circuit (2015-2019)

In 2014, Cervantes made her professional wrestling career. She spent her next few years wrestling for Lucha Underground, Stardom, ROH, WOW, and Tokyo Joshi Pro, where she won several championships.

NWA (2019-2021)

In 2019, she made her debut at NWA Powerrr. In 2020, she defeated Allisyn Kay to become the NWA Women's World Champion. After 277 days, Rosa lost the title to Serena Deeb. In 2021, AEW bought Rosa's NWA contract and Rosa officially left the promotion.

AEW (2020-Present)

In 2020, Rosa made her AEW debut. At All Out, she faced Hikaru Shida for the AEW Women's World Championship and lost. In 2021, Rosa began feuding with Britt Baker. At St Patrick's Day, Rosa defeated Baker in a lights-out match. Baker and Rosa were the first women to main event an AEW show.

Later, she officially signed with the company after AEW bought her contract from NWA. She entered the TBS Women's tournament and lost to Jade Cargill in the semi-finals. In 2022, at St Patrick's Day, Rosa defeated Baker in a steel cage match to win the AEW Women's World Championship.
