About Bijapur Bulls
Bijapur Bulls is a franchise cricket team representing Gulbarga zone of Karnataka, India. It was one of the eight teams formed to play in the Karnataka Premier League (KPL). The new owner of this franchise is Vivid Kreations, a construction company owned by Mr. Kiran Kattimani.
Bijapur Bulls have competed in the KPL since 2009-10 and have been champions of the league in the 2015-16 season after defeating Hubli Tigers in the finals. They have also been runners up recently in the 2017 competition, losing against Belagavi Panthers.
Background
Bijapur Bulls have been under the ownership of Vivid Kreations since the start of their campaign in the league. Vivid Kreations have been in the construction industry for over a decade now and takes overseas projects too.
The logo of the team is inspired and represents the Gol Gumbaz monument in Bijapur. The colours in the logo are derived from the Karnataka’s state flag.
Prominent Achievements
Bijapur Bulls started off great in the opening season of the KPL, qualifying for the semi-finals they finished third on the table behind Provident Bangalore.
After an atrocious season in 2010, Bijapur Bulls got back flying in the 2014-15 season where they managed to qualify for the semi-finals but could not manage to win the trophy.
The team improved even further in the next season and finally managed to win the finals against Panthers, lifting the 2015-16 season trophy.
Bijapur Bulls were runners-up in the recent KPL of 2017, after losing against the Panthers in the finals.

The Bijapur Bulls have had great captains throughout their time in the KPL. They were inconsistent after the first season. However, the team kept improving and became consistent for the coming seasons.
The owner of the team believes in nurturing young talent and not buying them.They have great players like Uthappa and Samrath in the batting side and young talents like Taha who scores big runs in the opening half of the innings.They also have substantial strength in the bowling department with addition of a bowler like Cariappa and RG More and a young strong captain like Bharat Chipli.
