Bullet Club history

Prince Devitt’s leadership

On February 3, 2013, IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Champion Prince Devitt successfully pinned IWGP Heavyweight Champion Hiroshi Tanahashi in a tag team match, where he and Karl Anderson teamed up to face Tanahashi and Devitt's longtime Apollo 55 tag team partner Ryusuke Taguchi. Devitt’s huge win resulted in a match between Devitt and Tanahashi on March 3 at NJPW's 41st-anniversary event.

Despite neither man’s title being on the line, Tanahashi vowed to relinquish the IWGP Heavyweight Championship if Devitt was victorious. Tanahashi eventually defeated Devitt and went to help the latter up to his feet, however, Tanahashi was pushed away by a disappointed Prince Devitt.

Within the following weeks, Devitt developed a more cocky and villainous persona and regularly started disrespecting both his tag team partners and his opponents, except for his long-term tag team partner Ryusuke Taguchi, with whom Devitt tried to get along with his new attitude.

However, on 7th April 2013, everything had changed and NJPW was never to be the same again. At the Invasion Attack pay-per-view, Devitt finally turned his back on Taguchi, after the duo had failed to recapture the IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Tag Team Championships from the Time Splitters (Alex Shelley and Kushida).

During the assault, Devitt was assisted by the returning King Fale, who not only attacked Taguchi but also set his sights on Shelley, Kushida, and Captain New Japan, whom Devitt later proceeded to unmask. In the aftermath to the attack, Devitt took a microphone, introduced Fale as his new "bouncer", giving him the new name "The Underboss" Bad Luck Fale and started dubbing himself the "Real Rock 'n' Rolla".

At the following pay-per-view, Wrestling Dontaku on May 3, Devitt and Fale teamed up for the first time to defeat the team of Taguchi and Captain New Japan in a tag team match. Later in the same night event, Devitt and Fale set their sights on the now-former IWGP Heavyweight Champion, Hiroshi Tanahashi after he had defeated Karl Anderson in a singles match. Anderson initially tried to prevent Devitt and Fale, but eventually attacked Tanahashi, hitting him with the Gun Stun. With the three men assaulting Tanahashi, Anderson’s tag team partner Tama Tonga also joined the party and started attacking Tanahashi.

In the post-match interview, the four men announced the formation of the all-gaijin stable named Bullet Club.

The four members of the Bullet Club wrestled their first match together on May 22 when they defeated Captain New Japan, Hiroshi Tanahashi, Manabu Nakanishi, and Ryusuke Taguchi in an eight-man tag team match. Within the span of a few days, Devitt officially entered 2013 Best of the Super Juniors where he defeated the likes of Kenny Omega and Alex Shelley to win the entire tournament.

Following his win, Devitt went on to challenge the reigning IWGP Heavyweight Champion Kazuchika Okada, as he aimed to become the first-ever wrestler to hold both the IWGP Jr. and IWGP Heavyweight Championship at the same time. The Bullet Club’s feud with Tanahashi continued through the Kizuna Road tour, as faction members Tama Tonga and the group’s visiting Mexican member Terrible lost the CMLL World Tag Team Championships to Hiroshi Tanahashi and Jushin Thunder Liger.

In the meantime, Devitt successfully defended his IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Championship against Okada’s manager Gedo during the same tour and on July 20, Okada successfully defeated Devitt and retained the IWGP Heavyweight Championship despite outside interference from the Bullet Club. Following the loss, Devitt entered the G1 Climax Tournament where he picked up massive wins over IWGP Heavyweight Champion Kazuchika Okada and former champions Hiroshi Tanahashi, Satoshi Kojima, and Togi Makabe, all thanks to outside interferences from the Bullet Club.

On October 25, Prince Devitt introduced popular American Tag Team, The Young Bucks as the newest members of the Bullet Club, as Matt and Nick Jackson made their BC debuts entering the 2013 Super Jr. Tag Tournament. Within weeks, The Young Bucks first defeated The Forever Hooligans and then Suzuki Gun to win the IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Tag Team Championships.

Following Jr. Heavyweight success, the Bullet Club shifted its focus towards IWGP Tag Team Championship scene, as the group would be represented by two different teams in the 2013 World Tag League. Devitt and Fale entered the A Block, whereas, Karl Anderson and the debuting Doc Gallows would enter the B Block. Gallows and Anderson would eventually go on to win the World Tag League and at Wrestle Kingdom 8, would win the IWGP Tag Team Championships from the Killer Elite Squad. At the same event, Prince Devitt’s 14-month reign as IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Champion would come to an end after he was defeated by Kota Ibushi.

In the aftermath to WK 8, Devitt would reignite his rivalry against his former partner Taguchi and in the meantime, Bad Luck Fale would also make it to the 2014 New Japan Cup final where he would be defeated by Shinsuke Nakamura. As the first anniversary of Apollo 55 approached, Devitt and Taguchi officially agreed to have a Loser Leaves Town Match.

At Invasion Attack, during Devitt’s match against Taguchi, The Young Bucks would cause repeated outside interferences despite Devitt warning them not to do so. Devitt eventually got into an argument with Matt and Nick Jackson, as it resulted in both men assaulting Devitt at ringside and thus turning their backs on the Bullet Club leader. Devitt would eventually go on to lose against Taguchi, as the two men would shake each other’s hand ending their rivalry and also ending Devitt’s tenure in the Bullet Club. The next day Devitt’s resignation from NJPW was announced, as he went on to sign with WWE.

AJ Styles’ leadership

Later at Invasion Attack, former TNA sensation, AJ Styles would make his return to NJPW for the first time since 2008 and this time ‘The Phenomenal One’ was back on a contractual basis. Upon his arrival to NJPW, Styles attacked reigning IWGP Heavyweight Champion, Kazuchika Okada and labeled him still as the same “young boy” he was in TNA. At Wrestling Dontaku 2014, Styles would defeat Okada to win the IWGP Heavyweight Championship when former CHAOS member Yujiro Takahashi turned his back on the faction and on Okada and jumped ship to the Bullet Club, becoming its first Japanese member.

At Dominion 6.21, The Young Bucks, who prior to the event lost the ROH Tag Team Championships to reDragon in their first defense, also lost the IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Tag Team Championships to the Time Splitters in their sixth defense. Later in the same event, Bad Luck Fale would go on to defeat Shinsuke Nakamura in order to win the IWGP Intercontinental Championship. On June 29, Yujiro Takahashi defeated Tomohiro Ishii with help from his Bullet Club stablemates to win the NEVER Openweight Championship. With the win, Bullet Club had won every title in NJPW, now simultaneously holding all four of its heavyweight titles.

After the conclusion to the 2014 G1 Climax, on August 10, GFW founder Jeff Jarrett joined the Bullet Club, attacking Tanahashi after he had defeated Styles in a non-title match. At Destruction in Kobe, Fale lost the IWGP Intercontinental Championship back to Shinsuke Nakamura in his first defense. At King of Pro Wrestling, Takahashi lost the NEVER Openweight Championship in his second defense to Tomohiro Ishii, whereas, in the main event, Styles lost the IWGP Heavyweight Championship to Hiroshi Tanahashi.

At Power Struggle, Bullet Club another new member joined the faction’s ranks, as Kenny Omega, who had signed for NJPW earlier in the month, came into the faction as the group’s newest Jr. Heavyweight representative. At Wrestle Kingdom 9, in Omega’s first match for the Bullet Club, he defeated Taguchi to win the IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Championship, while Anderson and Gallows lost the IWGP Tag Team Championship to Goto and Shibata, ending their year-long reign in their seventh defense.

The following day, Cody Hall, son of nWo founding member Scott Hall, joined the Bullet Club. At New Beginning in Osaka, The Young Bucks regained the IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Tag Team Championships, whereas, Gallows and Anderson also regained the IWGP Tag Team Championships. Whereas, in the main event of the night, AJ Styles brought back the IWGP Heavyweight Championship back to the Bullet Club when he defeated Hiroshi Tanahashi once again. At Invasion Attack, however, the Bullet Club lost both their tag team titles with The Bucks losing to Roppongi Vice and with Anderson and Gallows losing to The Kingdom.

At Wrestling Dontaku 2015, The Young Bucks regained the Jr. Heavyweight Tag Team Titles in a three-way match with Roppongi Vice and reDRagon. Also during the event, Bullet Club was involved in the first NJPW match to feature female wrestlers in over twelve years, as Karl Anderson, Doc Gallows and his wife Amber Gallows were defeated by The Kingdom (Maria Kanellis, Matt Taven and Michael Bennett in a six-person intergender tag team match. At Dominion 7.5, Kenny Omega lost the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship to 2015 Best of the Super Juniors winner Kushida in his fourth defense, whereas, Anderson and Gallows defeated Bennett and Taven in a rematch to win the IWGP Tag Team Championship for the third time. In the main event, Styles lost the IWGP Heavyweight Championship to Kazuchika Okada in his second defense.

On September 23, Omega once again regained the IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Championship by defeating Kushida following outside interference from Karl Anderson and on October 23rd, Chase Owens was introduced as the newest member of the Bullet Club.

Kenny Omega’s leadership

At Wrestle Kingdom 10, The Young Bucks regained the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship, whereas, Omega lost the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship back to Kushida and Anderson and Gallows lost the IWGP Tag Team Championship. In Bullet Club's final title match of the event, Styles unsuccessfully challenged Shinsuke Nakamura for the IWGP Intercontinental Championship, having entered the title picture after Karl Anderson had initially failed to win the belt from Nakamura at Power Struggle 2015.

​The following day, at NJPW: New Year’s Dash, AJ Styles and Kenny Omega teamed up together in a Bullet Club vs CHAOS tag team match against Yoshi-Hashi and IWGP Intercontinental Champion, Shinsuke Nakamura. With Omega pinning Nakamura to win the match, ‘The Cleaner’ eventually turned his back on Styles after hitting him with a One-Winged Angel during the post-match celebrations. The rest of The Bullet Club then tried to make peace but eventually joined the assault, as Omega took over the leadership reigns from Styles.

​In the aftermath to Styles’ departure, Anderson and Gallows also joined him, as all three men signed for WWE. Kenny Omega, in the meantime, formed a Bullet Club subgroup called The Elite featuring him and The Young Bucks, as he publicly claimed that the Bullet Club wasn’t the same anymore and had watered down after the departures of Styles, Gallows, and Anderson.

​On March 12, Bullet Club OG Tama Tonga brought in Tanga Loa as the newest member of the group and the two started a tag team called The Guerillas of Destiny. In May, the returning Adam Cole joined the Bullet Club, as he and the rest of the faction invaded ROH: Global Wars. The following day, Adam “Hangman” Page also joined the faction. Before Summer, several members of the Bullet Club won numerous titles, with the Young Bucks winning the IWGP Jr. Tag team Titles, the Guerrillas of Destiny winning the IWGP Tag Team Titles and Omega winning the vacant Intercontinental title. However, the biggest accomplishment was Omega winning the 2016 G1 Climax and becoming the third wrestler to win the tournament in his first attempt as well as the first non-Japanese wrestler in history to win the tournament.

​Within the following months, Bullet Club gained two new members as Captain New Japan joined the group and his character was changed to Bone Soldier. However, the biggest news of them all came in at the 2016 World Tag League when Omega and the rest of the Bullet Club revealed Cody Rhodes as the newest member of the group. Within the next few months, The Young Bucks won the ROH World Tag Team Championship for the second time and Guerrillas of Destiny regained the IWGP Tag Team Championship. However, Adam Cole lost the ROH World Championship which he had initially brought to the Bullet Club by defeating Jay Lethal in the first place.

​On January 4, 2017, at Wrestle Kingdom 11, The Young Bucks lost the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship to Roppongi Vice. Whereas, the Guerrillas of Destiny lost the IWGP Tag Team Championship to Tomohiro Ishii and Toru Yano. In the main event of the show, Omega failed to win the IWGP Heavyweight Championship from Kazuchika Okada and after reassessing his future with NJPW, Omega eventually returned at the Honor Rising Tour where tensions started to involve between him and Adam Cole. On February 11, Frankie Kazarian joined Bullet Club, turning on longtime tag team partner Christopher Daniels at a taping of ROH. On March 4, The Young Bucks lost the ROH World Tag Team Championship to The Hardys (Matt and Jeff Hardy). However, on March 10 at ROH's 15th Anniversary Show, Kazarian eventually turned on Adam Cole and Bullet Club, revealing his tenure was only a ruse to help Christopher Daniels become the new ROH World Champion which he did successfully. The following day, Cole, disappointed with The Young Bucks for not having his back, tried to fire them from Bullet Club, but the two responded by stating that he could not fire them as Omega, not Cole, was the leader of the stable.

On May 12, Omega fired Cole from Bullet Club following the latter’s match with Hiroshi Tanahashi and eventually gave his spot in the stable to Marty Scurll after he and The Young Bucks assaulted Cole. Two days later, on the final night of the tour, Scurll lost the ROH World Television Championship to Kushida, following a distraction from Cole, as he eventually left ROH for WWE.

Omega then looked for another shot at the IWGP Heavyweight Championship but he failed to win the 2017 New Japan Cup when he was eliminated in his first-round match by Tomohiro Ishii. After defeating Ishii in a rematch on May 3 at Wrestling Dontaku, Omega was nominated by Kazuchika Okada for an IWGP Heavyweight Championship rematch at Dominion 6.11. At Dominion 6.11, The Young Bucks defeated Roppongi Vice to win the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship for the sixth time, but in the main event of the show, Omega and Okada wrestled to a 60-minute time limit draw for the IWGP Heavyweight Championship.

This also planted the seeds between a conflict between Omega and Cody, as the latter tried to throw in the towel for Omega during his match, insisting the latter was badly injured. Cody eventually stepped up as Okada’s next challenger, however, before his match against Okada, Cody defeated Christopher Daniels to bring the ROH World Championship back to Bullet Club. On the first night of G1 Special in the US, Cody unsuccessfully challenged Okada for the IWGP Heavyweight Championship and during the match, Omega played off what had happened at Dominion, as he walked out and wanted to throw in the towel for Cody, which led to Cody confronting him after the show. The following day, Omega defeated Tomohiro Ishii in the finals of an eight-man tournament to become the inaugural IWGP US Champion, following his win, Cody wrapped the US Title around Omega’s waist, as the two men hugged it out and celebrated with the rest of the Bullet Club.

At the 2017 G1 Climax, Kenny Omega and BC OG Tama Tonga went head-to-head, which was won by the former, however, tensions escalated between the two with Tonga questioning Omega's leadership of Bullet Club due to his association with The Elite. But, after the match, the two men eventually made peace and were back on the same page. On August 13, Omega was defeated in the finals of the 2017 G1 Climax by Tetsuya Naito and the following month, it was announced that Tonga and Loa's youngest brother, NJPW young lion, Leo Tonga aka Hikuleo, was joining Bullet Club, replacing Omega on an upcoming tour due to him having suffered a knee injury. At Death Before Dishonor XV, The Young Bucks lost the ROH World Tag Team Championship to The Motor City Machine Guns. At Power Struggle, Scurll defeated Will Ospreay to bring the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship back to Bullet Club.

On November 17, actor Stephen Amell joined the Bullet Club and following GoD’s World Tag League final loss to Los Ingobernables de Japon (Evil and SANADA), Cody also lost the ROH World Championship to Dalton Castle at Final Battle. On December 17, Fale and Guerrillas of Destiny defeated Bushi, Evil and Sanada to become the new NEVER Openweight 6-Man Tag Team Champions.

Bullet Club Civil War

At Wrestle Kingdom 12, The Young Bucks defeated Roppongi 3K to regain the IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Tag Team Championship. Also at the same event, Bad Luck Fale and the Guerrillas of Destiny lost the NEVER Openweight 6-Man Tag Team Championship, whereas, Marty Scurll lost the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship back to Will Ospreay.

The following night at New Year Dash 2018, Fale and the G.O.D. defeated Beretta, Ishii and Yano to win back the NEVER Openweight 6-Man Tag Team Championship, beginning 2018 with six members of Bullet Club holding championships in NJPW (the others being Omega and the Young Bucks with the IWGP United States Championship and the IWGP Jr. Tag Team Championships respectively). Later in the same night, Bullet Club, with Cody leading, attempted to attack Kota Ibushi with a chair following a 10-man tag match but were eventually stopped by Omega, once again teasing tensions between the two men over the leadership of Bullet Club. As Cody and the rest of his crew headed backstage, Omega took to the microphone and stated that it was once again time for the Bullet Club to start working as a faction, as he called for ‘Switchblade’ Jay White and invited him to the Bullet Club by offering him a spot in the group. White initially seemed to have accepted the offer but eventually hit Omega with the Blade Runner and sneaked out of the ring, as BC members Chase Owens and Yujiro Takahashi came in Omega’s retreat. White then threw the Bullet Club shirt towards the rest of the faction members.

At New Beginning in Sapporo, following Omega’s IWGP US Championship loss to Jay White, his fellow Bullet Club stablemate Hangman Page tried to challenge White immediately, only for Omega to prevent him from doing so. This prompted Cody and the rest of the Bullet Club to intervene, as Omega and Cody had a lot of scuffling that eventually ended with the former shoving his Elite stablemate Matt Jackson. Just when it seemed that Cody and Omega had come to good terms, ‘The American Nightmare’ hit Omega with a Cross Rhodes and proceeded to continue the assault with the help of Hangman Page. However, Kota Ibushi eventually came to Omega’s rescue and reunited The Golden Lovers.

Cody and Omega’s rivalry continued throughout the next few months in both ROH and NJPW, as it ignited a Bullet Club Civil War. At ROH: Supercard of Honor XII, Cody defeated Omega in a singles match with the leadership of the Bullet Club being at stake. During the match, The Young Bucks attempted to help Omega but ended up superkicking him instead, allowing Cody to hit the Cross Rhodes to win the match.

Kota Ibushi, who despite not being a member of the Bullet Club, started teaming up with the faction in regular tag matches. On the first night of Honor Rising 2018, the Bullet Club trio of Cody, Page, and Scurll defeated Ibushi, Omega, and Owens. However, on the second night, The Golden Lovers defeated Scurll and Cody in a tag team match. Following the match, Omega and Ibushi declared themselves the “best tag team on the planet”, this prompted The Young Bucks to interrupt as Matt and Nick Jackson challenged Omega and Ibushi to a tag team match.

At Strong Styles Evolved, The Golden Lovers defeated The Young Bucks in a 39-minute tag team match, in what was also The Bucks first match as heavyweights. Following the match, Omega tried to make peace with The Bucks but still couldn’t win back Matt Jackson’s trust.

On the first night of Wrestling Dontaku 2018, the Bullet Club infighting continued with Marty Scurll and The Young Bucks defeating Bad Luck Fale and G.O.D to win the NEVER Openweight Six-Man Tag Team Championships. However, in the post-match comments, Fale and G.O.D claimed that they had no hard feelings about losing their titles to their Bullet Club brothers. Later in the same night, Omega defeated Page in the main event of the night. On the second night of Wrestling Dontaku, Tama Tonga introduced the newest member of the Bullet Club, as Taiji Ishimori joined the faction as the new “Bone Soldier” and attacked IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Champion, Will Ospreay. Ishimori would go on to enter the Best of the Super Juniors tournament where he won the A Block but ended up losing the finals to Hiromu Takahashi.

At Dominion 6.9, The Young Bucks won the IWGP Tag Team Championships by defeating Evil and SANADA and on the same night, Kenny Omega won the IWGP Heavyweight Championship for the first time and by the end of the night, The Young Bucks and Omega finally made peace with each other as the trio went on to form another sub-group named The Golden Elite with Kota Ibushi. The following day, Omega clarified stating that he and The Bucks were still members of The Bullet Club and Ibushi had only joined The Elite.

At the G1 Special in San Fransisco, Omega marked his first defense of the IWGP Heavyweight Championship when he defeated Cody in a hard-fought match. After Omega's usual post-match address to the fans, he and The Young Bucks were joined by Tonga, Loa and Haku in the post match celebrations. The Tongans initially appeared to be congratulating Omega, only to attack them soon after, revealing themselves as the new Bullet Club Firing Squad. Page and Scurll both came to The Elite's defense by attacking the Tongans, before Yujiro Takahashi and Owens attempted to bring the conflict to a halt; the Tongans ultimately dismantled all four. Cody then came out and was offered a chance to attack Omega with a steel chair, only to go after the Tongans and be attacked as well. As the Tongans left, the declared themselves to be the true Bullet Club, as Omega and Cody embraced, finally realigning and in effect restoring Omega's leadership of the group on their side. Fale and Hikuleo eventually aligned with the Bullet Club OG contingent in a video entitled "Don't Call it a Comeback" on G.O.D.'s official YouTube channel. During a livestream on Instagram in August, Tama Tonga confirmed that Ishimori is aligned with Bullet Club OG. On the final of the G1 Climax 28, the trio of Tama Tonga, Tanga Loa and Taiji Ishimori beat the trio of the Young Bucks and Marty Scurll for the NEVER Openweight Six-Man Championship.

At King of Pro Wrestling, CHAOS members Jay White, Gedo, and Jado turned their backs on the faction and joined the Bullet Club instead. Whereas, Australian sensation Robbie Eagles was also confirmed as the newest member of the Bullet Club, as he was announced as Taiji Ishimori’s tag team partner in the Super Jr. Tag League.

On October 24, 2018, Cody took to official Twitter account and confirmed that he was no longer a member of The Bullet Club. On an episode of Talk is Jericho on Chris Jericho’s Cruise Ship, Matt Jackson confirmed that he along with Nick Jackson, Cody, Kenny Omega, Marty Scurll, and Hangman Page were no longer a part of the Bullet Club and were simply known as The Elite.

Jay White’s leadership

At the end of 2018, Taiji Ishimori and Robbie Eagles ended the Super Jr. Tag League in a tie for 4th place with 3 wins and 4 losses for a total score of 6, whereas, Tama Tonga and Tanga Loa lost in the finals of the World Tag League 2018 against Los Ingobernables de Japón (Evil and Sanada). At Wrestle Kingdom 13, Jay White defeated Kazuchika Okada in a singles match, whereas, Taiji Ishimori won the IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Championship from Kushida.

At New Beginning in Osaka, White defeated Hiroshi Tanahashi with a Bladerunner to win the IWGP Heavyweight Title for the first time and bring back the title to the Bullet Club. On February 23, Guerillas of Destiny would capture their fifth IWGP Tag Team Championships after defeating EVIL and Sanada of Los Ingobernables de Japón at Honor Rising. On March 8, it was announced that El Phantasmo would be joining the Bullet Club.

At G1 Supercard in Madison Square Garden the Guerrillas of Destiny retained their IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Titles and won the ROH World Tag Team Titles from Villain Enterprises (Brody King and PCO) in a Winner take all Fatal 4 Way Match that also involved the Teams of Los Ingobernables de Japon (Evil and Sanada) and The Briscoe Brothers (Mark and Jay Briscoe). Later in the same night, Ishimori lost the IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Championship to Dragon Lee and Bandido in a Triple Threat Match. In the main event of the show, Jay White lost the IWGP Heavyweight Championship to Kazuchika Okada.

On the second night of Wrestling Dontaku 2019, El Phantasmo made his in-ring debut for the Bullet Club when he and Taiji Ishimori defeated the duo of Will Ospreay and Dragon Lee. During the Best of the Super Juniors 2019 tournament, conflicts between Bullet Club members El Phantasmo and Robbie Eagles started to ignite after the former had interfered in Eagles win over Ospreay. At Kizuna Road, Phantasmo and Ishimori won the IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Tag Team Championships from Roppongi 3K. On the same tour, Phantasmo successfully defended his RevPro British Cruiserweight Championship against Ryusuke Taguchi.

At Southern Showdown 2019 in Sydney, Australia, the Guerrillas of Destiny successfully defended the IWGP Tag Team Championships against Juice Robinson and Mikey Nicholls. Meanwhile, El Phantasmo also retained his RevPro British Cruiserweight Championship against Rocky Romero, avenging his loss Best of the Super Juniors loss as well. However, Robbie Eagles failed to win the IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Championship from Will Ospreay, in the latter’s first title defense. On the second night of Southern Showdown, Robbie Eagles defected from Bullet Club after refusing to hit Will Ospreay with a chair at the request of White, Jado, and Bad Luck Fale. Eagles hit White with a superkick and helped Ospreay up to his feet and the two did a double superkick on White, as Eagles would hit the inverted 450 to the Bullet Club leader and eventually would join CHAOS. He was greeted by Ospreay, Hiroshi Tanahashi, and Kazuchika Okada as an official member of CHAOS. At the G1 Climax 29 final, Kenta turned his back on Chaos member Tomohiro Ishii and Yoshi-Hashi in a match against Bad Luck Fale, Tama Tonga, and Tanga Loa, as he aligned himself with the Bullet Club. In the main event of the G1 29, Kota Ibushi defeated White to win the 2019 G1 Climax.
